  1. Siamp fill valve repair video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mM25pswbqmQ . You may find it "cheaper" to get a new valve than chase around trying to locate spares. I needed a new Siamp flush button and I think the flush valve + button was £3 more than the button! Siamp have an online shop and are also on Amazon - there were price differences.
  2. Is the radiator core alloy? - If it had a similar level of corrosion I'd walk away. Attached are 2 photos of my "16 plate" 2.0 TDI with 31k miles. One of the radiator through the grill and second one replicating the OP's photos. I wonder if the root cause is pressure washer detergent applied at low pressure but not washed off - any "exterior" alloy parts without corrosion? - under the engine cover?
  3. @A1cos Dowload manuals here http://manual.skoda-auto.com/210/en-GB/Model/Superb_3V Note the selection of production year at top of page
  4. Did the same in March this year and absolutely no sign of corrosion.
  5. Had the problem 2 years ago. In my case there was too much grease in the latch mechanism. The grease retained pockets of water that on freezing provided sufficient friction to stop the latch moving freely. I presume you can easily move it with finger pressure. I used some "copy WD40" with a thin tube on the spray nozzle to wash away the grease. My only concern was if the lubricant would affect any rust proofing inside the door but I took the risk. Problem hasn't recurred. Pain to diagnose since I never experienced it when de-icing the car first thing in the morning but only after driving - first time it happened was after driving for 5 minutes!
  6. Photo from last year 1/2 way through fitting winter wheels. 17" front and 19" rear
  7. Is this the equivalent https://www.lasertools.co.uk/product/6987 ? "Oil filter drain tool for Volkswagen, Audi vehicles (from 2005) with 2.0/2.5L diesel engines. Additional Information Application: Volkswagen and Audi models fitted with 2.0/2.5L diesel engines (from 2005) Prevents oil leakage when changing the oil filter 2000mm Hose 6pt Connector" Hits on ebay for "Laser 6987 Oil Filter Drain Tool " around £25
  8. Or the fuel jet for the auxilliary heater - OP in Russia??
  9. I believe you can get a steel plate with an attached hinged "D" ring that fits under the seat rail and held in place by the seat rail screw passing through a hole in the plate. Something like this: See https://axkid.com/uk/product/attachment-loops/ and this on facebook
  10. I think the situation will change shortly and the signal boosters will be available again (and reconnected where they had been disabled ??). Ofcom had a consultation that ended on 5 Sept "Notice of proposal to make the Wireless Telegraphy (Mobile Repeater) (Exemption) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 Technical changes for in-vehicle mobile phone repeaters". Ofcom appear to support the changes and say: "This means that the earliest we anticipate that the amendments to IR 2120 may be implemented is October 2019" Quoting from the document (https://www.ofcom.org.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0026/155726/consultation-wireless-telegraphy-regulations.pdf ) "In October 2018, Ofcom was approached by an equipment supplier of low gain mobile phone repeaters used in the manufacture of European cars. They formally requested Ofcom to consider making changes to the technical conditions contained in IR 2102.2 and provided technical evidence supporting the request."
  11. I had superb L&K 4x4 wheel alignment checked at local VW dealer. Hunter alignment kit. No mention of any re-calibration of any "driver assist" electronics. Very confident of mechanics competency - came to reception to find me because the tyre wear wasn't consistent with the pre-adjustment alignment readings and suspected " tyres swapped round" ! Other than a front suspension height change adjusting the front suspension does not require any re-calibration. The steering angle input to the "systems" is from the "steering wheel" therefore if the steering wheel hasn't been removed and re-fitted in a new position and is still "straight ahead" after alignment the steering angle is unchanged - years ago it was very common for garages to adjust the tracking on one track rod end only and throw the steering wheel alignment out . Hunter video with a better explanation than mine Center Steering Wheel - Hunter Engineering
  12. I press the microphone icon, say "cancel" and back comes the radio sound. I would guess I first had the problem a year ago and at first did the "unplug, re-plug" routine. A few months back I had about a around 2 weeks where plugging in the phone started Google Maps with no Menu> Android>Maps on Columbus display - a sadly missed bug.
  13. I thought I was posting the definitive list of events that require recalibration
  14. Of course the garages read the workshop manual:
  15. The picture in the w/shop manual isn't clear but it indicates that the pink screws are at the extreme edges of the gauge cluster just outside the edges of the pictures.
