  1. It starts and drives fine, only the the EML is on.
  2. With a heavy heart the time has come to sell my Octavia. Bought off the forum (was Mike VRS's old car) 4 years ago and owned by myself since then. Currently SORN and not being driven anymore so its time for it to go. MOT'd till May 2018, never had an advisory in my ownership. Its a notch under 140k. It has been serviced on time every time. Car does have an issue: I will include the new cam tensioner in the sale, as well as a genuine cam cover gasket as it was starting to weep slightly. Will get some pictures up later, as all the ones on the forum are longer up ( thanks photobucket ) Price £600
  3. Engine is not making any weird noises, was using my liquid display to check fault codes, until the switch broke yesterday now using a cheapo ebay one.
  4. Now I'm getting P0010 Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit/ Open Bank 1
  5. Changed the sensor yesterday, car never came out of limp mode and now EML is back on.
  6. Over used phrase with cars, but this really is my pride and joy. It just don't come cheap £133 for the sensor so i'm really hoping it fixes the problem.
  7. I change the pipe every two years, and i thought that was a bit overkill. Ordered a new camshaft position sensor, see if that clears it up.
  8. 4 years in, and got my first couple of fault codes, EML came on running in limp mode, however drives fine, starts fine not overheating etc.. P1530 Intake camshaft control circuit:short of ground P0012 Camshaft postion (bank 1) timing over retarded How do i go about fixing the issues? Thanks Sam
  9. I'm starting to get some lacquer peal on my wing mirrors, i would like to get them wrapped or dipped. Which is best? Can i polish a vinyl wrap? Can it be matched to the milotec carbon pattern already on the car? Cheers Sam
