  1. Yeah, than it would get to a 1000€ upgrade to a car that is worth basically 4000€, so it's not worth it.
  2. I don't have steering wheel controls, so no problem with that, just the parking sensors. But I really wouldn't like to lose them. Is it possible to wire them to the new head unit?
  3. Hi guys, seems that I will keep my car for some more time, so I was looking to replace the original Swing radio unit, as I slowly started to hate it a bit. I just saw a nice Sony unit, model XAV-AX6050: https://www.sony.ee/car-audio/products/xav-ax6050 It seems perfect, with DAB+, phone connection, Android Auto and Apple Carplay, both wireless. Can I connect this unit directly without any bigger hassle and everything should work? How about the USS? Will they work?
  4. Thanks for this, maybe that will solve it. But my main question is if it is safe to drive like this 1000km let's say. Is there anything that can happen or just higher consumption?
  5. Hello guys, I have a Fabia 2011 1.2TSI (105) with a bit less than 130k km and everything was fine until a few weeks ago or maybe a bit more. Let's rewind a bit. So it's the beginning of June I drive a bit faster home for 100km on the highway and when I turn off the car and back on after cca. an hour the EPC light came on and the car went into limp mode. I drive a bit wondering wtf is that and than turn the car off and back on, than also the check engine light came up. Even more confused I turn it off and wait for cca. a minute. I turn the car back on and there were no lights. And there was none after that and the car was functioning perfectly till let's say 2 weeks ago. Then the EPC light would sometimes come up and than disappear or come up together with the check engine light. So I connect my OBDII connector and check what's going on. I see that the error code is P334A which triggers the EPC light and when the check engine light would come up that would be P0028(EE). The app for the P0028(EE) also says OBDII: Intake valve control solenoid, bank 2 - range/performance problem, that's why I also didn't care so much till now, but now I get the error and limp mode every time I turn the car on, so it got more serious/annoying. If I clear all codes the car drives perfectly fine without any issue. I forgot to mention that from June to 2 weeks ago I did around 4k km. I would drive the car to my mechanic if I would be home but the problem is that I live abroad 1600km away from home and have my car here. I plan to go back home with my car sometime in November or December and that would be again around 1600km. Are these errors serious and should be looked at before I return? I would not like to go to the service here as I would be very far away later on if something wouldn't be ok and I couldn't come back to complain. Do you have any experience with this error? What would you suggest?
  6. I'm looking to buy the falkens for my Fabia too, in size 205/40/17. Are they good ? I can get them for 70€ one, when the contisportcontact 5 (supposedly the best) are around 105€ each. So I would save 120€ or more than one tire.
  7. I think 215 would be even more expensive and I would have to do the homologation. Falken ze914 are very cheap too.
  8. What do you think about Nexen N8000 ? They are 58€ a piece. Same for the other model nfera su1.
  9. Can I just fit 215 on the same rims as 205 are on ? But than I would have to do the homologation again ? I don't want all season tires, because I have new winter tires on now.
  10. Hi all, So, I bought a used Monte Carlo late last year and bought some new winter tires for it, but now I will need to buy some new summer tires too. I have the dimension 205/40/17. I looked at some new reviews, but they don't cover dunlop rt 2, eagle f1 3,... The only known tires that are pretty cheap are michelin pilot sport 3, but people say they wear out quickly. Which tires do you have or suggest ? Is it really needed to buy the best ones, as these are performance dimension tires and the car still has only 105hp ? Thanks for your help skoda folks!
  11. I have 2011 monte, bought used the previous week, it has dunlops on and I didn't notice any pulling, strange.
  12. now..a new question..which are the best summer tires 205/40/17 currently and which are the best winter tires 185/55/15 ?
  13. Here it is: Sorry for the photo quality, I had only the Nokia N95 8GB at my hand
