  1. The seat coverings in my furby are not great and was thinking of using this firm to supply a set of fitted seat covers, but anyone got experience of them? Website is Custom Car Seat Covers - CLN Automotive Ltd UK - Leading Specialists In Custom Car Seat Cover Design , the fabris swatches they sent seem nice and are padded on the reverse.
  2. Im thinking of ditching the fabia and have hopefully found a nice storm blue estate 2.0 dsg, do we have any bluetooth/maxidot units left?????? Cheers.
  3. Morning all! I am a disability driving advisor/assessor, qualified driving instructor and husband of a full time wheelchair user. I have found dealers to be VERY different in their approach to disability and the motability scheme. Some enbrace it and I have run disability awareness courses and they do big buisness on the scheme. Others are less than helpful to say the least. At present my wife has a citroen c4 coupe 1.6hdi with the egs system, and adapted with techmobility handcontrols. The dealer was helpful but had little understanding of the adaptations and without my knowledge my wife would have had the wrong adaptations fitted. MS is a strange condition to advise on, as the rate of onset is so different from person to person. What I would advise though if you are seeing any changes in your lower limbs seek advice early. Too many people leave it till they are using a hand to assist the leg too move and find driving a real effort and it affects their confidence. Driving an auto (or semi-auto like the c4) with hand controls can be much less tiring and more enjoyable. If you want further advice I can be contacted via pm or 07 798 748 326 Regards Andy
  4. Yes needs replacing and yes more expensive, BUT they did not get into the car and there is NOT glass all over the inside of the car....
  5. Yes as you can now see from the photo there are 4 strike marks, one very big one, and 3 smaller ones above it, the outer pane of glass as cracked and air has got into the laminated area, but the inner pane is intact.

  7. Jason, If you end up with some over let me know, would not mind doing the wife's C4coupe, but notice your notes about automatic wipers. So how many tubes to do all the glass ( especially the LARGE rear window as the wiper is s***) and whats it best to clean the glass wih first???
  8. If it was a bad accident personally I would stay put and not risk further injuries. I have seen a few people who felt ok and extracted themselves, only to find they had done serious damage which was then made worse. Always stay put until you are checked. Also lets be honest there is a far higher chance of theft/vandalism than an accident, and on a modern car you should always be able to open the doors. But an intersting point.....
  9. Well had a nice holiday and came home to find that the wifes car (citroen c4 coupe) has had a side window attacked. Ours was not the only car done, but the only one to survive! There are 3 small strike marks and 1 big one where I guessed they got pi55ed of with it! These along wih the alarm was a
  10. But it is standard my friend.......... Well Andy's standard!
  11. I dare say one of the other instructor will correct me if I'm wrong but you Dad MUST be in the front because he is legally in charge of the vehicle as he is the full license holder. Its is also his responsability to ensure overall safety and you comply with all aspects of the law. Hence get caught speeding you both get points! Hope you pass soon...
  12. Micra too small for my ar5e! Again use one as an assessment car and the seats just dont support you, also I go camping and have the wheelchair, hence Im trying to have a large car that seems small....
  13. The c4 at the moment has almost 3k off the list price plus more from the dealers its down to 14-16K fully loaded! Hence I dont mind the depreciation because I will not pay the full price.
  14. Use the Punto as an assessment car in one of my many jobs. Gearbox awful and the seats are the worse I know. Otherwise a great car with great features.
  15. 6 years and 120K, driving school and lots of motorway! Its a little stormer but thats for other reasons.....
  16. Me old 51 plate furby is getting past its best and now needs body work repairs due to someone being crap at parking and not leaving their details. So was thinking of getting a newish or new motor But what would buy? The criteria is that it has to be a good motorway cruiser, but also able to use for driving scholl, and ideally has bluetooth and leather with programable seats, been thinking of in order of preference:- 1) Citroen C4 5door excusive spec 2) Furby level 3 3) Octy, but really its a bit of a barge for learners So which would you go for?
  17. Its was very interesting looking over the new car yesterday especially seeing how the manual was left in the car! There was a HUGE section on communication, both hard wired and bluetooth. Also some other goodies. Personally talking the dealers they are a little confused over skoda's policy on this. For example the 1.9tdi now does not ome with disk brakes all round, unless you pay extra for esp! Also we got 16" wheels on fabia 3 but skoda are still using the 256mm fs-III brakes! So we cant go big brake! The displays are great lovely white ones, but the cruise speed is not displayed. So yet again its hit and hope! Its seems in some areas the new car is brilliant and well worth the price, for example look at say a fiesta or corsa and you will see the difference. But in some othe areas have really missed the boat.....
  18. Just looked on eibachs german site and they are avaliable for all models bar the 1.4 and1.9 tdi and they are in development! I wonder if the jabba rear arb would fit..... Himmmm fabia 3 1.9tdi, 30mm lower and a jabba rear arb and remap...... wet dream.....
  19. Just driving past my loacl dealer and he had 3 new fabia's on show, so pop'ed him and he let me have a look round them. Have to say it sits a bit high and needs lowering but otherwise it looks a LOT better in the flesh. The cabin is simply superb, well laid out, not fussy and keeps the best features of the old car the seats are really comfy and supportive (fabia 2).The black fabia 3 looked awesome and was a 1.9tdi, but a lass he would not let me take it for a spin.... I cant wait till early 08....
  20. Anyone know of a good vag independant in the Trafford ish area of Manchester? Please drop me a text (07798 748 326) or email me (andrew dot ellis at blueyonder et al) as I cant get on here regularly at the moment. Cheers Andy
  21. Cheer up guys mines about to have its second belt change! (Thats 120k miles)
  22. Yeah I thought that might be the case, but I wonder if its comng because its mentioned on the global site. VAG in general seem to be way behind other brands/groups in putting this into cars, real shame.
  23. Have to say Im thinking of either met red or dark blue with the white roof as the driving school logo will go a treat on it, also think of a side strip coming down the cpost down to the front for the writing. But it MUST have bluetooth, climate control, cruise and laminated side glass......... Any of those 4 mssing and I might look else where. The latter we have the wife's C4 and the noise reduction is remarkable and is great for secuirty.
  24. Battery good was thinking sensor, anyone able to shred any more light
