  1. Nice! Mines literally just finished downloading the update!
  2. I have figured a temporary fix (works until ignition switched off. Menu>settings>wi-fi>infotainment system as a hotspot>use as hotspot (turn off) Head back to android auto and agree with everything it says, it turns the WiFi back on and works!
  3. I don't think it's an AA issue, worked perfectly on my Octavia the same day I replaced it with my Superb. I'm trying to get in contact with my garage to get the boot fixed as it leaks and randomly opens, also going to ask them if there is a firmware update for the car that fixes it yet. Basically when I first start the car AA wireless connects perfectly, then as the infotainment system finishes booting it force disconnects.
  4. Have to be honest, I've not checked back with them since, the Skoda garage should know if there is a firmware update to fix it though. I'm going to be giving them a call in the next few weeks as it appears my boot is leaking so will be asking them then. Not got the spare time to take the car in at the moment.
  5. For me it connects wirelessly when I start the ignition, once the infotainment has finished boot it disconnects until I plug in. If wireless aa isn't supported you don't get the option of connect until plugged in, if it is supported you get the option to connect, click connect and it should, but for me it fails, unless the ignition is just switched on (about 30 seconds from ignition on until aa disconnect for me).
  6. AA wireless starts fine on ignition start, on the main dash it always shows the built in navigation (even when AA is working wired) but it takes a short while to boot, during this time AA wireless is displayed on the infotainment screen, as soon as the dash shows a map AA wireless changes to disconnected and won't connect unless I plug my phone in. A Skoda guy said he thinks it's a known issue but wasn't 100% sure.
  7. Hi all. I've finally binned of my second 21 plate Octavia because of the huge list of random problems (all software related on both of them). I've gone for a 73 plate Superb instead as it doesn't use the "new" system with a large screen etc, and it's way better! Things just work and I don't have a random error generator and a dice throw to see if the car will actually start anymore. I only have one problem. When I start the car wireless android auto connects and starts working, but as soon as the built in sat nav finally boots AA gets disconnected and will no longer connect, until I plug my phone in. AA was one of the few things that worked reliably on my Octavia's (well, when the 12v battery wasn't completely flat that is). It seems to be another Skoda software issue but was wondering if anyone else has come across this? Thanks Dave
  8. Been having 12v issues with my Octavia IV vrs since I got it last year. It was in the garage for 3 months last year attempting to fix it, seemed ok for a couple of months then all of a sudden complete discharges of the battery overnight again. Just picked it up from the fuse flashback fire risk issue recall and they found the December 2022 firmware update to fix the 12v issue, hoping it's fixed now, next couple of days will tell as would almost always be dead if I didn't plug in the hv charging cable over night. Also did loads of firmware updates on Infotainment system as that kept rebooting. Hoping but not holding my breath that this is the end of 2 years of issues with 2 separate Octavia vrs's...
  9. Threw mine back a the dealer in June because they simply couldn't fix the random errors on it. Basically swapped for the hybrid version, which was a huge mistake, it then spend 3 months with them trying to fix a 12V battery issue where the battery was nearly always flat (turns out this is also a known problem with a specific fix, but it wasn't applicable to my car so they couldn't do it!!!). Think they have masked the problem now rather than fixing it as I sporadically get a 12V warning but it disappears within seconds so can't get a picture of it. This generation of Octavia is in my experience useless, they have rushed it out and gone as cheap as possible on the software, hoping the next generation is better. I don't think the VAG group has fully recovered from dieselgate yet.
  10. Hi, I collected an 2021 Octavia VRS IV 3 weeks ago as a replacement for a 2021 Octavia VRS petrol that i had nothing but trouble with. guess what! 12V battery keeps going flat. the car has broken down on me about 3 times in 3 weeks and that's with it being back at the dealers for 8 days, they've just collected it again today. The car does have a recall on it, the mat (recall code 9305 I believe). apparently there are no other outstanding recalls on the car. Still don't understand how they allowed me to collect a car that has an outstanding recall on it, especially as they knew I was already a disgruntled customer. Wednesday I have the HV battery on charge. Thursday morning the 12V battery was completely flat, charged until lunchtime when the charger said it was fully charged and managed to get the car to move. By 17:15 the car wouldn't move again with 12V battery low and the host of other errors that happen. Are others still experiencing this issue? or have they been resolved? Thanks Dave
  11. You have the same part number as me but a different hardware revision, the hybrid I'm getting has a different part number but the same firmware, so could potentially be something else different.
  12. Sounds like it potentially has different issues with different hardware versions. My display unit is H44, after ignition off and on the word sync disappears, pressing the right controls changes the right only, but if I press the left controls it maintains the sync (until I press the right, then it turns off fully). My replacement car the sync stays on after ignition off and on is H45 (edited as put the wrong version) hardware.
  13. Strange! You'd imagine the phone would allow one device to control ove done or the other, not both simultaneously! I know with AA one disconnects control of the other, if I disconnect usb then AA disconnects and reconnects
  14. Sync doesn't turn off, if you use the left hand temp control it maintains sync. On the hybrid I'm getting as a replacement the sync word stays on, but on mine it doesn't. Currently I randomly get manoeuvring break and parking sensors unavailable on ignition on, android auto wireless randomly doesn't work, randomly takes up to 5 minutes "loading settings" on ignition on, during which time I can't prep sat nav etc for the journey. I've been getting lots of 12v battery low notifications (battery and battery sensor have been replaced). They are the most common/most annoying ones.
  15. Aac and some other issues are fixed on mine, random other errors aren't fixed though and they had it back for over a week trying to find those problems. Had a complaint going with Skoda and Skoda finance for months so giving the car back and getting another one.
