I think the Germans are really considering the options what to do with the engines. They for sure know if they publish whatever solution which would led to underpower the engine for meeting the emissions issue, VWAG will be facing prosecution from the customers as the engine does not meet the power parametres. So from my point thats why is not that easy to officially answer the question what will VWAG do with the engines out there...

depends on what the solution will be... soft update? adding SCR? injectors? or just commenting, ok the real figures are still ok in EURO5 limits.... nobody tell you now

Can I fit 225/50 R17 tyres to my Superb?
Kazimir80 replied to silver1011's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
depends, in many states in Europe if you have another tyres than in you COC, in case of accident you will have problems that having non-approved wheels on your car. Most it use insurance companies to reject repair payments from yours contract... -
AE189 could be a Superb engine

Thats the point and its against what you have purchased. So in result, you payed for stronger engine with agreed emision level, some of us paying for emisions annualy and the dieselgate will end up, that your engine will be undertuned in something you proably wouldnt buy if you have known earlier and thats what is people making really angry about.... -

Yea I dont worry that much, VWAG and Skoda really know that they cant dismiss this problem that easily. And I am in favour of SCR added to the cars instead of SW reprog. of ECU. It would led to prosecutions of selling something that does not have the engine parametres as agreed withing the purchase of the car. Secondaly I tried to test ran Superb3 and I will mostly keep having my present car. It is much more comfy and quieter than 4x4 140kW S3. So the car price depreciation by itself even this case could reach high and is really nonsense for many, many people.... -

Wow, I am really interested in this, since on my journeys over germany I emtpy the tank within day. But I am not sure about the translation from English (not native speaker). Probably, are you able to get some pics how it is done on Superb mk2? thanks a lot K. -
I am 33, and having the car since 2012. I was thinking about CC also but the price the same equipment - elgance vs. highline was 4.000€ So I picked up Superb. I am using it to travel around Europe. Also I am having bad talks about why so big car - me alone. For that money its very good car compared to Octy2, pleasent place to be, powerful, running costs excellent, soundsystem, very stable ride, you dont need to play tetris when moving 1000kms

Brocky, well not sure if Stanley, but Benny Hill definitely Sorry, not being native speaker, well the test was just saying that O3 is missing many sound isulation materials, lot of plastics and non-quality ones in doors, carpets, torsion axle at back, even smaller tank, etc, etc....

....well this is difficult to say. I have been impressed by the car itself. I was at motorshow in Brussels, I ordered a testrun and I liked the car. Got the offer with all the goodies and sales and we made the deal. First half of the year I was the luckier man under the sun with my Superb Elegance (SE version in UK). Few recent months I found the leather seats harder than all the cars in our company. The main problem - for my back correct body position is, after 30mins average my lower back pains from the lumbar support being hard. If I manage that support in less setting, my upper back start to pain from uncorrect body position. So at the time I am trying to find something soft and effective between lumbar support and the seat. Otherwise I am just fine with mine car. You can run across the EU with all the comfort, good sound, space and stuff you need. Even youre alone without family. Last test of FL Superb in Czech Rep. has stated - that is the last car from Skoda designed in good harmony with ride capabilities, technology and comfort without compromises. The seats - yes this is the most comlained thing on the car which has been designed before economic crises in EU. Now Skoda runs at cost cuttings and O3 is beside top config - the result of that decision. As a result of todays car market tests, you cant find better built or juggled car then Superb nowdays in this pricetag. So I am not ready to sold car with some loss of money just I couldn´t manage by some cusion...

probably we could include some reason, why everyone here choosed SuperB mk2 over the other cars like Passat, Mondeo, C5....
-
I have electric leather seat. The seat seems to function OK, however it pushes me hard to my lower back and I cant change that. Ordered to service for 30k and told them I am really dissapointed about the seat. In fact the rest of the car is pretty good, but if your back hurts, its not any joy to drive the car. K.
