Hi i have a red monte carlo estate and am looking for a protector for the rear bumper as have a dog that get in the boot and dont want to scratch the paint looking on superskoda they do a gloss black one has anyone used these and if so do they mark easily? Thanks

[LED DLR Bulbs - What Works, Confused?]

I fitted some led p21w bulbs off eBay on a 13 plate only thing I found was they didn't work so had 2swop the wires round at the plug and hey presto worked fine but not sure if this was because they was led bulbs as others have said they didn't but I've had 2do it on 3 now all with led bulbs ??? Lol

I'd normally use a plastic trim tool so not 2scratch the door it's normally stiff can't remember on this model if it clips in2 door so would be easier to take panel off and do it from the inside been a while since I did 1 lol

Any joy with the wire checks?? And by global opening I mean hold the key in door lock either lock or unlock position for a few seconds windows should go up or down depending which way just in case you didn't know lol

Lucky u I did as did a few others I know of may depend on type of led bulbs u get??? either way was only a 5min job so no great shakes lol

Just search p21w led white and choose which 1's you prefer loads 2 choose from I got a pair for £5 and they work no problem after changing the pins round lol

If its blown again and your bulbs are ok I'd say you have a wire'ing issue prob best taking it 2the garage if your unsure what your doing easy way 2 check which side is take 1bulb out replace fuse does the other side come on? Then vise versa narrows it down to which side fault is on and always make sure keys out of ignition when fitting bulbs or fuses as I found out when putting led bulbs in the drl's lol

Bulb shouldn't blow fuse do you have standard bulbs fitted? Have you flicked the switch across after changing fuse? Has new fuse blown? And no need 2 skin nuckles pull trim of push tab in and light pops out simples lol

Make sure switch is pushed to passenger side with ignition off then if that doesn't work try checking the fuse 7.5anp fuse its the smaller section of fuses top row furthest right or closest to the switch which ever u prefer lol

U shouldn't solder into any thing really they don't like it as it increases the resistance the way I did it was remove 2pin plug from bulb holder remove pink clip use pin out tool and push pins out of holder can b a little tight but they go then swop pins round refit pink clip and that's it 5mins per bulb max and no cutting or soldering required if u really wnt to cut ur wires use spade terminals as can be returned to standard no problem ??

Got some fitted didnt bother to cut the wires just swooped the pins round on the connector much quicker lol and only £5 as no canbus 1's required ??

Ye they just push on can be tight use a plastic trim tool and get as far to to middle to stop it cracking unless that's why u wnt it off lol

Looks good more like drl's than standard bulbs think ill b getting some of them cheers oh and u sure u have to cut the wires? Thought the pins was opposite? And LEDs only work 1 way so turn bulb round lol ????
