  1. Dropped the price further, now only £1780 Details on Autotrader http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201610299236870?onesearchad=Used&radius=50&make=SKODA&postcode=yo259bg&price-to=3500&model=OCTAVIA&sort=price-asc&advertising-location=at_cars&page=1
  2. The boot certainly is huge. My Great Dane has plenty of room as the boot is tall as well as long. She's welcome to come and have a look :-) Here's the link to the Autotrader advert if that's any help http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201610048430640?atcide=emc-cars-ADS004?atcide=emc-cars-WPC001
  3. Hi Jonboy984, yes it is. And it's now only £1990!
  4. Good condition. Skoda part number DMM620001 so easy to fit, strong and secure, easy to remove if necessary. It attaches to the fixing points that are already present in the boot so no marks on headlining, floor or headrests. Kept my Great Dane in the boot with no trouble! Prefer buyer collects from East Yorkshire but can post at extra cost (+£10). £50
  5. MK II. 1ZS. Excellent condition. Silver. 116k miles. Full service history. I've owned the car for 31/2 years. First registered 30/12/2005 (Photos, taken last weekend, show a private reg that is being sold separately. Car is now on a 55 plate). Recently I've had replaced timing belt and water pump, CV joints, air conditioning compressor and condensor, both rear and R front brake caliper. I've fitted uprated headlamp bulbs, LED sideights and braided brake lines. It's on Continental tyres that have lots of tread. I had single electrics towbar fitted but only used it twice. 6 Cd multichanger, headlamp washers etc £2200.
  6. Thanks for your comments everyone. It's parked on the road and I noticed the first one missing after a trip to West Yorkshire but yesterday I only went to Tescos in Driffield. In mysteries on the TV it often seems to be the Caretaker that is the culprit but I shall buy another cover, paint it and hope the (young) plastic clips will hold tight :-)
  7. Before Christmas I saw i had a black hole in my front bumper where the offside headlamp wash cover used to be. I duly ordered, sprayed and fitted a replacement. This morning I found the nearside cover missing........ Do they just fall off when they get old or is something else going on?? Any ideas?
  8. MIne ran out at the end of September so removed it.. car does look a bit naked without one though
  9. It is not easy. The talk is often about 'distancing yourself' but often the more caring and empathic you are the more difficult it is to distance yourself. My wife and I were in a similar situation in our training 30yrs ago. We both found the smell of the Formalin preservative unpleasant and the room lighting was weird too. A couple of approaches that might help are The body will have been actively donated to science expressly for training - it was their wish for their cadaver to be used in this way and to help students to learn to help someone else It isn't a person it's just where that person had lived (and therefore similar to moving into a second-hand house and re-decorating it etc.) Her lecturers must have encountered the situation before so I would be astonished if they aren't talking with her and also planning how to manage next Friday. Sounds like Miss R is ambitious, determined and a pretty tough cookie so she'll work through it fine but of course that doesn't stop you from worrying!
  10. My 4x4 has done 73k miles and I don't think it's crashy. I don't do farm tracks but the single track tarmaced road to the village is very rough and uneven and I notice it bounces a bit ( but that's compared to the rock hard ride in my Impreza...!).
  11. Thanks Mr G 76, I have tried adding injector cleaner to the fuel but it didn't make any difference. I'll research your PCV and inlet manifold motor suggestions.
  12. My 2006 2.0FSi 4x4 estate has had a slight heistation/misfire ~2500 rpm. It is most noticeable on light throttle changes e.g on motorway. A fault code showed as misfire cylinder 3 so garage changed 3 and 4 coils. No better so changed other two coils and all spark plugs. Still there. In wet weather it worsened to the extent that i was relieved it didn't cut out so booked back in and they still unable to find a fault; it was then plugged in at a Skoda Dealer and still no fault found. Still got hesitation and dreading wet weather. Any suggestions??
