  1. Totally different opinion to me and I've owned both the mk1 and mk2 Octavias. Rapid was the let down in many areas you've mention and was night and day a different car once out on the road or even just sitting in it! Are you sure you've not been describing the interior of the Rapid above?!

I totally agree, I think the Octavia is great value for money, way better than the Rapid. But that's what a forum is for, to express opinions. Personally I enjoy the car more every day, and my previous car was a 3 Series (E90).

Have a nice weekend everbody, and drive safe.

  2. I wa torn too between Denim blue and Beige, but I've had five cars all of them blue, and I said to myself that's enough. So I chose Beige and I don't regret it at all. It's elegant (specially wth chrome and led daylights) and easy to clean.

  3. I would say for your own sanity that 6 to 8 hours straight in any vehicle isn't recommended. Not stopping for wee stops suggests probably not taking on water, and at least for me, I find I need to fairly regularly take a glug of water whilst driving. Does tend to mean a stop at a services at least every 3 hours or so though :D (which is a good time for a little rest, walk, etc to flex the back/knees, etc)

I agree, it's good for both your health (specially your back) and your safety.

  5. Bad news anyone wanting window chrome trims ordering after week 23 are now not available, dont know the official reason only that they can no longer be ordered

Same situation here in Spain, there seems to be a problem with the supplier, but who knows. I've been lucky, my car has been built this week and my dealer has confirmed me that it will come with the chrome. Ordered April 5th.

  6. Based on our experience of having them in our MkII Octavia, I'd say a definite yes. I'd even go so far as to say it's the only option that I wouldn't order a car without, assuming the option was available in the first place.

The difference they make is night and day compared to normal halogen lights (or even worse, projector halogens.)

    I agree completely.
