Congratulations and enjoy it.
I see you can choose the plate of your car in the UK, is it more expensive than the normal one?
Greetings from Spain, my Octavia is working fine after nine months.

Nice picture indeed.

Congratulations, great choice of engine and options. Drive safely and enjoy it for a long time.

You´ll love both the engine and the car. Enjoy it.

I think its a MY14 model year change, the sound system model is no longer written on the system.
Are you sure? I picked up mine on June 7th and it's not written either.

Nice. Enjoy it.

As someone has sid your AC seems to have a problem, mine works fine and believe me, in this part of Spain it's really hot in July (30ºC yesterday plus humidity around 70-80%).

Totally different opinion to me and I've owned both the mk1 and mk2 Octavias. Rapid was the let down in many areas you've mention and was night and day a different car once out on the road or even just sitting in it! Are you sure you've not been describing the interior of the Rapid above?!
I totally agree, I think the Octavia is great value for money, way better than the Rapid. But that's what a forum is for, to express opinions. Personally I enjoy the car more every day, and my previous car was a 3 Series (E90).
Have a nice weekend everbody, and drive safe.

Hi, I've just taken a picture but I'm afraid it's too small, I did something wrong.

Congratulations, enjoy it.

I wa torn too between Denim blue and Beige, but I've had five cars all of them blue, and I said to myself that's enough. So I chose Beige and I don't regret it at all. It's elegant (specially wth chrome and led daylights) and easy to clean.

Because on other forums people only ask for help, they don't share like this community does. Proud that I discovered this forum and proud to be part of it.
Same here.

I would say for your own sanity that 6 to 8 hours straight in any vehicle isn't recommended. Not stopping for wee stops suggests probably not taking on water, and at least for me, I find I need to fairly regularly take a glug of water whilst driving. Does tend to mean a stop at a services at least every 3 hours or so though (which is a good time for a little rest, walk, etc to flex the back/knees, etc)
I agree, it's good for both your health (specially your back) and your safety.

Bad news anyone wanting window chrome trims ordering after week 23 are now not available, dont know the official reason only that they can no longer be ordered
Same situation here in Spain, there seems to be a problem with the supplier, but who knows. I've been lucky, my car has been built this week and my dealer has confirmed me that it will come with the chrome. Ordered April 5th.
-
My build week was 21, but was brought forward to week 20 which I was told was this week. So that would make week 21 next week. This info was all from my dealer.
Hi, my build week was 20 too, and it is this week indeed.
Waiting...

Congratulations on your choice. I hope to take delivery of mine at the end of this month. Days seem so long...

Thank you very much, very useful for me, I´m also a few weeks away from taking delivery.
-
Congratulations on your choice. And good for the Superb too.

Based on our experience of having them in our MkII Octavia, I'd say a definite yes. I'd even go so far as to say it's the only option that I wouldn't order a car without, assuming the option was available in the first place.
The difference they make is night and day compared to normal halogen lights (or even worse, projector halogens.)
I agree completely.

I see, thanks. I wish we could do the same here, but we can´t.
