  1. Started to dig around best quality sound source for Columbus (MIB2.5 as far as I am understand): Investigation of the supported bluetooth codecs just leads me to nowhere as max ACC codec is supported and LDAC is not an option at least now. Aux is not installed by defaults anymore , but looks like it very easy to retrofit. Connection via AUX will be probably ideal if you do have an external portable DAC or portable HiRes player. And looks like I am going to retrofit one , close to USB in ashtray. Another option is Android Auto , which support at least PCM 44.1/16 (CD Audio uncompressed format) via USB. I am not 100% if its supports higher sample rates and 24bit. But both Tidal and Spotify are supported as AA applications and Tidal HiFi giving you 44.1/16 lossless FLAC audio streaming strait in to your Columbus. And the last but not least playing FLAC files from SD/USB. As per manual : FLAC up to 96(/24 as I never saw 96/16) supported with stereo and even 5.1 and 7.1 (I am assuming 5.1 and 7.1 will work nicely in the systems with factory installed amplifier). But I always had some "file with error" message when I tried to play anything higher than 44.1/16. Even 48kHz files did not work for me. But couple of days ago I decided to get to the bottom of the issue and download sample files from here: http://www.2l.no/hires/. And surprise surprise I got 96/24 FLAC working on my Columbus. And to completely confuse me 192/24 working as well! Not that I really need 192 as I do not hear difference between 96 and 192 but difference between 44.1/16 and 96/24 exists and I can hear difference in the car and in my "proper" more less headphones connected to the SoundBlaster Zx. Which formats and sound streaming services you are using ?
  2. On my tune torque start climbing earlier then stock for sure , but not as kicky as my old 1.9TDI octavia , where 245 wheels did polish tarmac even at dry (but I had to change clutch to singlemass after few thousand KM ) I am waiting maybe beginning of the July to go to my tuner and do dyno test and final tune of the mapping. I will be able to present graphs probably from dyno run. Its me who did not put sentence correctly
  3. I mean 190hp is not exist on manual.
  4. Car looks very good! Just lower it for 30mm and it will look and handle even better. Also was inspire by your photos and after chiptune slightly modified intake. K&N panel filer I already had from new
  5. Unfortunately there is no such thing as manual 4x4 Karoq as far as I know.
  6. Done it to 150HP 2LTDI on Karoq with manual gear box. Car is flying now! Really impressed. But when remap your 190 , do not forget to remap your DSG as clutches will burn if you not increase pushing power between the disks Mine one is now 195-200hp and well over 400 torque. 190 can be easely chipped to 215HP , BUT main thing is low rpm torque - this is what making driving pleasant.
  7. My alcantara steering wheel looks and feels nice, but it is very difficult to keep it clean. So , I decided to purchase custom design wheel. Currently waiting for delivery , but looks very nice IMHO Real carbon top.
  8. New trim cost around 130-150 euro , full black. easier to wrap.
  9. Managed to install front parking sensors without removing bumper. Now need to run cable to inside and change switches on the central console
  10. 340m front and 310mm back ( similar to Kodiaq and Superb MK3) the only thing i s- rear brake disk is from Audi TT 2008
  11. Instead of standard plastic bolt which holding spare wheel , I printed new one. Shorter , and fixed one. Designed in Fusion 360. Printed with shock proof plastic And here is mount to the subwoofer. Then completed sound deadening exercise under the spare wheel, printed 4 spacers to keep subwoofer tight to wheel on side and installed it AMP installed on the back pf the left seat with bolts and threaded rivets. At the end cut round hole in the cover , and printed one more heavy duty grill Now need to run power for the AMP and RCAs to DSP
  12. Thank you. This is 18" Skoda Extreme replicas. J8 ET45. Tyres are Falken FK510 SUV 235/50. Car is dropped by 3-4cm ( Eibach springs) and Koni FSD shocks on front.
  13. As I am constantly updating my sound system in my bellowed Karoq , I decided to install semi-custom made subwoofer in the spare wheel. My current small Kenwood underseat sub will migrate to my wife's Tucson. And the new one is based not on my favourite Focal component but Audison Prima APS10D. Got the box from Ebay. Speaker need 10-12 , the box is 15. Put STP sound deadening and damper mats inside. 3Dprinting mount right now. Will add photos and .stl files later. Power palnt will be GZTA 2.500TX. ready one side view box made of MDF Speaker two coils , 4Ohm each, parallel will be 2Ohm , 400W RMS Vents are on the side , plus sub is VERY shallow , mounting depth is on 88mm Grill and all mounting accessories came with speaker Testing fitment Dampening material Mounting pod prototype AMP
  14. Stalk, underneath cover and somebody with ODIS and access to the VW/Skoda database and SWAP codes.
  15. This are exact parts on the photo + cables. A bit of VCDS coding require as well.
  16. I think all the radars fitted as front assist can be converted to support ACC. ABS units the same. The only difference can be in type of units which will then differenciate max speed under ACC 180 (170?) km/h and 210km/h. Mine came on 2L TDI front wheel drive was able to work as 210km/ph option
  17. Got 120Euro quote in Ireland. But I did pay 500euro for 5 services serviceplan in advance.
  18. Windscreen changed, camera installed, wires run to the point. But need to connect , code and calibrate camera assist. Process is complex That how its looks like from inside now.
  19. 3G0857511AD is not FLA mirror , just normal mirror but without border.
  20. Do anyone know exact dimensions of the mounting plate on soundsystem amplifier? And what bolts I need to use for mount ? Just want to install aftermarket amplifier the same way.
  21. 3G0857511AD , but if you are are from Europe - I have brand new for you, jut got it with front camera.
  22. That what I am talking about. Keeping in mind that skoda headuinit working very good to high resistance load , such as amp, I am not sure that I will be able to hear difference between digital or analogue connection (plus I am not a musician). Probably some good speakers will do better job. As I told before I am 3D designing tweeters podiums for Karoq at the moment and I am already purchased tweeters from Focal ES-K series - https://www.focal.com/sites/www.focal.fr/files/shared/catalog/document/tweeter_TKM-technical_sheet.pdf They are from previous generation of Elite K2 Focal range. Puzu , do not have MIC or anything like this as it very budget range. But at the same time , I am always have to re-calibrate for my ears after such automatic calibrations. Tried on my home Onkyo and Sony receivers and some ( do not remember which one ) car DSP. There are another two budget DSPs with similar design - Pioneer DEQ-S1000A and Nakamichi NDS4631A. Check them out as well. For me PUZU is fine for now. But if I ever decide to go up (unlikely after a-pillars upgrade with new tweeters) , this will be some more advanced speakers , bi-amp for front and something like HELIX P SIX DSP MK2. However this will probably require proper door cards redo , rewiring and some high end speakers. I am not such fan yet and not mentally and financially ready yet
  23. I am not 100% sure about Bolero , but I think all MIB2.5 units ( Columbus in my case) do have MOT150 fibre loop option. Again in my case I connected instrument panel with Columbus to have an ability to run satnav on dashboard. Canton amplifier is connected ( not in my case) to the same MOST150 bus. The issue with MOST150 is that I know only one MOST150 to SPDIF converter and with coder it cost more then 1K euro 😞 - https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT860/zen-v.html I am not ready yet to spend such money. Then probably no point for cheap amplifiers and speakers at all , I mean cheap when speakers are less then 1K euro
  24. MDF is tend to collect moisture. Yes , tweeters are attached to A-Pillar plastic cover
