There is an element of that about it! will have a little Sunday drive tomorrow. For the last five years I’ve been using the wife’s Clio to go to Villa Park, but she says I can’t take this one. So I’ll have to use my Skoda Superb. Last time I did that someone broke the window and took the combined Sat Nav/ Radio/CD player etc. The insurance bill was £3K.. You can buy the item for £100 on eBay.

Yes the ease of access was a major plus point for the Capture. We both are mid 70’s and a low down car is not suitable any more.

Thanks Dave. we have replaced the Clio with Renault Capture, which is basically a Clio on stilts. we pick it up Saturday. The dealer took our Clio in p/ex we are satisfied with the deal we got

Thanks Gaz. This car will be used almost exclusively by my wife. Just for runs to the shops and the odd visit to local friends. Any long journeys we will use my Superb. She only does about 3K miles pa. The one we are looking at on Monday is about £15K. see my other post on the Yeti forum for more info.

JR … further to my reply. I rang the dealer and apparently there is space for a spare and they will provide one for me if I buy the car.

Thanks JR we are going to look at a Yeti near us on Monday. Are you saying they don’t have a spare wheel? This is a big no no for me. When I bought my Superb, there was no spare wheel. Just a repair kit which I believe would ruin the tyre if used. There was a well under the floor and I insisted they supply me with a spare wheel. I’ve had several punctures over the years and would have been stuck without the spare.

I have a Skoda Superb Estate and I’ve been more than happy with the Skoda Brand. Wife has an old Renault Clio and we want to change it. I’m not familiar with the Skoda range and would appreciate any advice on which one to buy. Needs to be Automatic Petrol Higher up driving position than the Clio Parking sensors would be nice Air Con Thanks in advance for any help.

Up date….. it’s all sorted. The fuse box wasn’t on the LHS, It was on the drivers side. The diagram was confusing as it was a mirror image of what was in the car. Bought a twin pack of fuses £1.75. If I’d taken it to a garage they would have charged me£50 so I owe you a pint, Finn

Assuming it is a fuse that has blown, what do you think would have caused that?
