  1. With petrol, I'd get 45+ mpg on steady driving, so with diesel I wouldn't be surprised to see this.
  2. Furious Rambo Often Zaps Enemies R A M B O
  3. I still think Rodius is prettier than the Actyon: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/60/SsangYong_Actyon_Sports_AX7.jpg
  4. It's not as hideous as the Multipla, but why does it wear the 500 badge anyway? It looks nothing like it, really.
  5. The jet washer protrudes from the 3rd brake light in my '03 Estate.
  6. You guys might enjoy these overtaking shenanigans with 130+ bhp engines, but if I build up some speed to comfortably overtake a car with my puny 73 bhp, and they suddenly start to accelerate, it's a proper pain.
  7. Similar problems here, with the exception that I've got the Estate, and boy, is that a pain. The ordinary universal wipers don't stick to the glass properly, and I don't feel like buying the GBP 15 original "Aero" option.
  8. The old green Felicia was called Zelda, as a portmanteau of Zelený (Green in Czech) and Felda (Diminutive of Felicia in Czech). My current Octavia is named Augustine after Octavianus Augustus. Well, I just can't do things in a simple way
  9. By the way, the whole thing costs just a little more than GBP 2500. Yes, that's four digits.
  10. I'm usually getting a rash when I need to deal with local anything, save for recommendations from friends. Parts, gadgets, tools, all ordered and delivered from an e-shop in a timely manner. Voting with my wallet.
  11. I don't think 'old' is accurate. They simply don't support that functionality. Generally speaking, the e-mail is from the new address. Certain e-mail hosts run applications that allow you "impersonate" the original server, so the mail is sent from the old address (Google does that in Google Apps, but those aren't free any more. And I think that any host that uses IceWarp as the web application provides that, but I'm not entirely sure about that). Ad POP3/IMAP: That is the method of checking out the e-mails from the server. If you have folders on the server (i. e. they are synchronized across all clients), you have IMAP. If not, there's a good chance you have POP3.
  12. Kudos on having them finally installed after all that pondering in the other thread!
  13. I don't have a Fabia, but I have an Octavia from the same era. My HUD sits well with my fill-up calculations. On long journeys, the average shows 50 MPG, and on short ones (not so frequent), it goes down to 25-ish. The result can be found in my signature.
  14. There's a study (I forgot the name and aren't really keen on an hour of googling unless you guys really request it) that says that a fully electric car, even when powered strictly by coal-produced electric power, produces only 40% of total environmental pollution of a very economical diesel car (60 MPG or so). That includes energy and resources for making and disposing of 2 sets of lithium batteries, and most of that resources is actually aluminium and water (lithium makes up only a tiny fraction of a percent of the battery's mass). I don't like saying that, but if that study is true, it makes no sense tinkering with hybrids as we know them and go fully electric or diesel-electric.
  15. I'm afraid it's mostly down to googling. I can't help you much there as I don't really know what exactly some of the mentioned things are (e. g. what headlight cover you have in mind). TBH, I'm pretty new to actual motoring.
