  1. I have a VW with built in sat nav so the same system. The road number announcements are stupid. Also a search for a post code comes up with "Offroad" and when previous destinations are listed they only show as co-ordinates so you don't have a clue what's what. My sat nav was part of the trim i ordered but i wouldn't advise anyone to pay extra for a VW group system. I use my excellent TomTom again now with the built in sat nav only used if i forget to take it.
  2. The only thing I would have considered was a Monte Carlo 1.5 Estate which would have been unique to Skoda. IMO it's a stupid decision for Skoda to drop the estate. A hatchback with option packs is just not worth it. May as well get the Polo Gti for around 26k on Carwow.
  3. If there was a Monte Carlo 1.5 Estate my order would be going in. They'd have something that no other manufacturer is offering.
  4. A Monte Carlo 1.5 Estate would have been perfect for me. Disappointing that the estate has been dropped.
  5. Hi With the demise of the Roomster and Yeti the only model that Skoda have with varioflex seats is the Karoq so that is a minus point for the Kamiq if you have found it useful on the Yeti.
  6. The Octavia is is bit too big for my needs (and garage). The Scala is also a bit longer than the Fabia estate and probably coming to the end of its production. With the demise of the Roomster , Yeti and now the Fabia estate(in Mk4 form) it seems that Skoda have lost any sort of small practical offering. The Kamiq, Karoq and Kodiaq lack originality and style imo.
  7. So The Mk 4 Fabia is not available with the 1.5 engine? After seeing that there won't be an estate I was thinking I might consider the 1.5 hatch. Skoda will have nothing that suits me now.
  8. My next new car was going to be the Fabia mk4 1.5dsg estate. I don't know of anything else yet that would be comparable.

    Lane assist.

If we think lane assist is annoying wait until we get the speed limit recognition system that gives visual and audible warning that the speed limit is being exceeded and tells us to slow down.
  10. Bought my 58 reg Roomster new and only had servicing and tyres to pay for. Level 3 trim 1.9tdi. Its been, and still is, a great car after 64,000 miles. I would like to buy another new car but what do I buy? If the Yeti was still made I think I would consider that but the Kodiak, Karoq, and Kamiq styling is not for me. The Fabia Estate would suit my needs if it had a bigger engine and there are rumours that the Mark 4 Fabia will have the 1.5 engine option - just hope they continue to have the estate version but I think that will be end of this year or beginning of next.
  11. Yes best see how things pan out. All about supply and demand I suppose. 👍
  12. Just seen an article on Google re. India but It was from 2018. This has only appeared on Carwow since the easing of lockdown. I had offers before lockdown but no mention of discontinuing. The offers I’ve received now are more expensive than before lockdown by about £1500.
  13. I read it in a communication from Carwow but I can’t find any mention anywhere else.
  14. Read the other day that the VW Polo GTi is being discontinued. Is this right?
  15. Hi Reading this thread with interest because I’m thinking of buying a new Polo GTI +. It has the DSG 250 6-speed wet clutch I think so would that be okay or is there a risk of problems somewhere down the line? Any advice appreciated before I take the plunge. Thanks.
