There's a good guide in the MK1 guides section which will have your answer.
Still can't see it, see a guide for front, and changing rear callipers/carriers, but none in which they remove or tell me the size of the bolts holding the rear calliper on to the frame.
Cheers

Can't find it out anywhere, what is the size for the rear carrier to hub bolts on a mk1 fabia vrs? (From what I can see its a m14 spline that is used to remove them)
Kind of had to hammer in a allen key with an extension from my jack to get these annoying things out.
Cheers in advance.

More than likely the console bush, yeah.
Thought it would be, cheers, on to my next question then, has anyone made the tool that they could lend me for some beers or some money?
And can anyone send me the link for the powerflex ones?
Cheers
-
Got told that my suspension arm near side front has excessive play in the bushes, is this the arb bush or is this the wishbone bush?
Looking at getting powerflux ones already had some of these put on the front arb before so i'm guessing it must be the console bush?
Cheers

I would agree. Used ones are sought after so you should get back what you paid. Not many folk realise new ones are on Ebay for not a lot of money.
Well i was rushing to try get it all sorted and should have waited so only myself to blame, what pads/discs do you recommend? The ones stated earlier in the post okay?
Thanks for all your help guys, much appreciated!
Cheers

These are the ones to go for. I got second hand ones any they were terrible. Ended up with the ones above. The finish has proved very durable. Only downside is the carriers aren't painted.
Might just buy these and try resell the other ones? Probably best option really?
And cheers for all the help guys
-
Did you purchase the ones Steve originally posted?
Yeah i did mate, been in a rush to try sort it out :S
-
I'm painting them all Red, so guess I could always sell the discs and callipers that are coming for maybe £70 and keep the carriers and just buy the new callipers and discs for it :P
This has made it harder now! haha

I would go for the above personally, as second hand calipers are quite often a waste of time.
Wish you posted these earlier, would of bought these! :(

Yeah but one of my callipers is sezing, and they look tiny, i understand they aren't going to do much for the braking but they definitely will look better!
-
most the breaking is done on the front pagid ones be fine
Are these the correct ones? http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/104441278/p/home can't seem to find the pads for some reason! Promise this is the last question!
Appreciate the help don't like things going wrong and need to sort the car out this week!
-
You sir, are a star! Thanks for that! Hopefully the callipers will be alright, will get a decent set of pads and discs, pagid ones okay as it just the rears? Thinking of getting pagid discs and ds2500 pads for the front
-
yes, the ones on are 232mm and the splash guards are pretty much flush with the disks.
either remove fully or cut the lip off
you need the calipers and carriers to do a straight swap
Thanks for your help thought it would be, and yeah thats what I'm looking at, hoping some will come up soon!
Cheers!

256mm from TT (250bhp) or MK1 Octavia vRS is the usual upgrade.
As for disks & pads, pagid are a good starting place
Great thank you, just need to find someone selling some now! Need them asap as one of my current ones is seizing up!
Do i need to cut/remove the backing plate to fit these in?
-
Looking at doing the rear brake upgrade on my fabia vrs, what callipers do you guys recommend?
What discs/pads too?
Cheers guys, hoping to find some soon!

I would definitely pay £30 if this falls through
-
Do you have the pipework for the intercooler? Id be interested to get a price for the whole lot too.
Cheers
-
Just seen your finally selling it again now Yeah its mapped, BLT and on about 85k mileage
-
Are these a straight swap? How much you looking to get for them?
-
Think i can feel it just impossible for me to get my hands in there!
-
I swear that bolt underneath is impossible to get to, going to give up in a minute and maybe just do a egr delete in future.
-
No problem!
From your picture, the bolt hanging out is the one that goes through both the ASV and EGR. You've removed the next one. So the only one holding the ASV on is the hard to reach one by the wiring plug.
Yup thats the one i've been struggling to find but i think i know where it is but the pipe at the back kind of stops me from reaching it so will have to remove it was too tired earlier was on a night shift last night and still up lol
Size of carrier bolts on fabia vrs?
in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)

They are like a t50 socket or something, they are actually round at the end so they are confusing me :S Haha
