  1. Does anyone in the Redruth/Truro area have OBD11 who could do a scan and code erase for me please? Thanks in advance.
  2. The Phillips Xtreme bulbs which I'd had on my 2007 Audi A6 for 80,000 miles decided to blow within half an hour of each other at the weekend on a 300-mile trip from Cornwall to mid Wales, reinforcing Chris GB's comment.
  3. Seat Mii ASG now coming up to 3 years old and 30,000 miles. ASG is very different to the CVT in my Audi A6 but changing driving style to suit there's no problem apart from very occasionally being a bit slow to engage between gears after slowing down and then accelerating again. The gearbox seems to have got better the more miles the car has done, or it's a combination of that and familiarity.
  4. ŠKODA Citigo named Best Supermini in the annual Green Apple Awards Fourth year in succession that ŠKODA has been honoured Judges praise the Citigo’s quality, practicality and low running costs Citigo CO2 emissions from 95g/km Milton Keynes, 11 November 2014 – ŠKODA has enjoyed a fruitful time at 2014 Green Apple Awards with the Citigo collecting the award for Best Supermini. The frugal, low-emissions Czech city car pipped rivals to clinch the title in the majestic surroundings of the House of Commons in London. The Green Apple awards are run by the Green Organisation, an independent non-profit body that rewards environmental best practice. Judging was performed by members of the Midland Group of Motoring Writers, who singled out the Citigo for its quality, economy and value. One Green Apple Awards judge said: “The ŠKODA Citigo offers a great drive, is thoroughly practical and has low fuel consumption.” Another added: “The Citigo is the perfect demonstration of how a car can be economical, inexpensive, beautifully built and a pleasure to drive." Low running costs and minimal emissions have been at the core of the Citigo’s appeal since its launch in 2012. Offered with a choice of two highly economical engines, CO2 outputs start at just 95g/km, while fuel economy of 68.9mpg is possible on the combined cycle. Prices for the Citigo range start from just £8,210. The Citigo’s award marks the fourth year in a row that ŠKODA has triumphed at the Green Apple Awards. The judging panel awarded top marks to the Yeti in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and has consistently praised ŠKODA’s passion for building affordable, low emissions cars. Commenting on the Citigo’s latest award, Alasdair Stewart, Brand Director for ŠKODA UK, said: “We’re delighted to accept this award for the Citigo. Low running costs and reduced emissions are key factors in the development of all ŠKODA products, and this award for the Citigo recognises the advances we’re making in both areas.” The Green Apple Award is the latest in a long line of prestigious titles won by the Citigo. In 2012 it was awarded Car of the Year by Auto Express, along with the 2012 What Car? Green Award and the 2013 Driver Power Best Small Car title.
  5. Almost the same as my Fuelly average for our Mii ASG – 54.8mpg over 14,000 and 16 months.
  6. Think you'll find it will be much better once the engine has loosened up, say after a few thousand miles. Our Mii was just the same but it's now done 10k miles and it's fine, although it's an ASG and it seemed as if the car wanted to be in a higher gear.

The daily journey in my SEAT Mii SE ASG 75 is made up of similar elements to CitigoAli's and returns a similar figure on the PID, but using brim-to-brim fill-ups it equates to 56-57mpg real world over about 2,600 miles. I'm looking into getting my dealer to adjust the PID figure using their equivalent of VCDS; apparently it's possible to increase or decrease it in one-percentage-point increments. I'll keep you posted.
  8. Had our Mii for nearly two months and only seen two - one coming out of Milton Keynes on the day we picked up the car (it was not a local registration) and one a couple of weeks ago near Bicester. Only seen one Citigo, but loads of Ups! I'm surprised I've not seen any Miis around Milton Keynes as there are lots of other SEATs and the local market share for the marque is 4 four per cent (and that's excluding SEAT UK registrations, which is based in MK) compared with 2.7 nationally. Mind you, the Up!/Citigo/Mii trio are fantastic cars and great to drive - I'm loving every minute of it, even though it's really the wife's car!
  9. There seems to be some confusion as to whether auto locking and double locking can be activated. I’ve just got a Seat Mii SE ASG and the dealer says they can’t find it in the coding. I’ve looked on the Citigo, Mii and Up! forums and found out what the coding should be, but has anyone done it on a Mii? I wouldn’t have thought Volkswagen would go to the trouble of having different software for the three versions. I’m also interested in the tear wiping and adjusting the fuel consumption (can this also be done?) – mine seems about 4 per cent optimistic on brim to brim fills. I’ll be going back to the dealer with the relevant information but in the meantime does anyone in the Bedfordshire/Milton Keynes area have VCDS who would be able to check if this can be done on my car? Many thanks
