  1. That looks like an N249 valve to me not an N75. N75's look like this...
  2. Is the drivers front hub still available mate? Price posted to merseyside? Thanks.
  3. Cheap car that, always fancied a Canary one  Good luck.
  4. Thanks for the reply buddy, I finally found one locally today so no longer required sorry. :)
  5. Hi how much would the hazard lights switch be posted please? Cheers.
  6. I'd be looking at the immobiliser being at fault first of all. If you have to, get an auto electrician to disconnect or bypass it to rule it out Unless you have an idea what to look for you wont be able to do it, all the wiring related to the aftermarket immobiliser will be black.
  7. I'm assuming you have done the basics already like checking for boost leaks including vac lines? Could be the N75, do you know anyone local who has an 1.8T who would be happy for you to try their N75 to rule yours out?
  8. Pair of front caliper carriers for 312mm brakes?
  9. Front caliper carriers for 312mm brakes?
  10. As said, the oil pick up pipe will need to be changed. Very common issue but fairly cheap to rectify if you can do the work yourself.
  11. Sounds like its the droning noise you get from an over tightened timing belt. If the work was done at a garage take it back and tell them you are unhappy with it and to get them to re-check the tension of the belt. It will be putting extra strain on the water pump and pulleys and could shorten their lifespan.
  12. Could be a bush or balljoint just starting to show signs of wear.
  13. Here's a vid of the noise. https://youtu.be/6MC0-UUyXoY
  14. Right, I fitted a set of Pagid pads about 500 miles ago, as soon as they were fitted the rattling was cured - hallelujah! But 500 miles in and the rattle has started again. I noticed when swapping the pads that where the pad sits in the carrier it was a little worn and shiny looking, so i'm guessing the carriers may well be suspect as said before. Would it make any difference if I got them re enamelled/painted/powder coated?
  15. Hi Iain, do you have a (not bent!) rear parcel shelf? Price posted? Cheers pal.
  16. Sad times but needs must. Watching your car evolve was something that influenced my own decision to buy a VRS. Good luck with the sale Rob.
  17. Been researching MAF sizes a little and wondering if the sizes I've read about (2.5", 2.75" & 3") whether those measurements are internal bore diameter or external pipe size? Mine measures 70mm or 2.75" can someone confirm that I've measured it at the right place? Also the part number is 06A 906 461 LX. Think I'm just confusing myself [emoji1] Thanks for any help.
  18. You could save yourself some labour costs by pulling up carpets/floorboards etc where needed. I did this in my old house and it shaved a fair chunk off the labour and finish times.
  19. Fair do's mate, like I said though there was no intention of detracting anything from your sale. Good luck ☺
  20. Going by the listing details it states they are 'new' not used or refurbished. Maybe remanufactured? Your guess is as good as mine!
  21. No disrespect to your thread intended, but brand new ones are £110 delivered on the bay of E ☺
