  1. On recent service, dealer picked up a split in the EVAP pipe on top of the engine and the dealer quoted £460 to replace it. (Includes replacing the sensors which seem to be working fine?) I wrapped it in tape until I decided what to do and its been a couple of weeks and that's holding fine. Given that its only a vent pipe, and not carrying any liquid or under any pressure, could I just seal it with some heat shrink tubing to hold it together and strengthen it? Anyone done this before?
  2. Same as MarkTB here. Cancelled straight away and kept the perks. Get it confirmed in in an email from the dealer just to be sure.
  3. Prviously had an Octavia (for over 9 years) then changed to a Nissan X-Trail. Never really gelled with that car and so have just pulled the trigger on a 20 plate Kodiak so am back in the Skoda fold! Looking forward to learning all about the new beast.
  4. I've got a 63 plate 1.6 Mk3 with the 7 speed DSG box and its coming up to 65k miles. Love the DSG box for driving and have never had a problem with it (touches wood) Forgive my ignorance of the DSG but does a DSG clutch wear like you would expect a traditional clutch to need a new plate and bearing after so many miles? If so what sort of mileage could I expect to get out of before requiring what I guess would be an expensive job to replace. Thanks in advance
