  1. I have a 1999 GLXI 1.6 felicia, considering doing the conversion. One question though, what about the ABS sensors for the conversion, will the mk3 golf ones wire up to the existing leads on the felicia with modification?
  2. Hi there every one, does any one know where the electric windows on a Felicia take their live feed from in the fuse box. I want to wire them as Skoda did on the special edition Felicia's that came with front electric windows. Fuse 18 on my fuse box is not assigned and on taking the fuse box apart, there are no feeds to and from fuse 18. Or can any body advise me where to take the two live feeds from in the fuse box, it has to be a live switched by the ignition switch though. Thanks Mark.
  3. Hi there every one, I have a Felicia GLXI 1.6 T reg. What I would like to know is, does this car share it's front grille with any other Skoda's past or present. Some Fabia's I have noticed seem to have a very similar grille. But with out physically removing one or getting one from the breakers yard, there is no way to tell. After-market grilles only appear to be available from Germany and eastern European car styling web sites. Any help would be warmly appreciated.
  4. Hi there, sorry for not getting in touch sooner, I have been working away from home for some weeks. I have attached some photo's of the electric window regulator/motor. You can not see the info on the motor body too clearly though. The photo's of the window switches are in a earlier post on this topic. Hope you are well, I have something I would like to mail to you as a thank you for all your help, is that ok with you? With thanks Mark.
  5. What bhp is the car turning out? most interested to find out.
  6. Many thanks for your reply dohnjoe, I will try your recommendation and let you know how I get on. On a different subject do you know any thing about fitting electric windows to my Felicia GLXI 1.6? The car came from the factory with manual windows fitted. I managed to get the drivers and passenger side window regulators/motors from a salvage yard, also have the OEM window switches that fit behind the gear change in the centre console. Adurer from poland posted a wiring diagram for me, but it was for the 5 wire window motors. I have the Bosch 2 wire window motors. I have worked out the wiring for every thing, but I am unsure if I need a relay for the motors. Some one told me the Bosch motors have the relay built in to them, I do not know if this is indeed true. Also can I wire to the fuse box? There is a unused fuse at position 18 in the fuse box. The question is do I need a relay or not? I am going to attempt to dismantle one of the window motors to see if this is indeed the case concerning the built in relays. If indeed you can help, I would be extremely grateful. Do you have a back ground in auto-electrics, you have a most comprehensive knowledge of automotive electrics. I am very impressed indeed. Many thanks once again for your most informative knowledge and advice. PS. I will e-mail Hawk and quite rightly give you the credit for the modified wiring diagram.
  7. I have fitted the remote central locking kit, and it works! Many thanks to Dohnjoe and his modified wiring diagram for the kit. One last thing though, I have not connected the two brown wires from the kit that flash the indicators when you lock or unlock. According to the Haynes manual for the Felicia, one brown wire goes to the n/s black 10pin connector behind the n/s kick panel and connects to a black/green wire in the connector and the other brown wire goes to the same connector but to black/white wire in the connector. This is what I have managed to deduct from the wiring diagram in the manual. I am not sure if I am right though, Dohnjoe would you be so kind as to advise me if indeed I am right or very wrong indeed. With thanks to every one that has helped me, Mark.
  8. Hi there, I have found out that the Bosch two wire window motors have a relay built in to them. Could any one confirm if this is indeed the case, before I attempt to fit them and wire them up. Your feedback and comments would be most appreciated.
  9. Many thanks for your replies and diagram. Will let you know how I get on installing the kit.
  10. Hi there, sorry for the delay in replying. I have the wiring diagram for the after-market remote central locking kit. Can you help with what what wires go where to the Felicia's harness. Also is the Felicia's OEM central locking a positve locking, or a negative locking system?
  11. Here are some photo's of the Felicia window switches. I think I have finaly sussed how to wire every thing just about.. The blue and black wires are the feeds to the window motors, the brown and red wires are for the feed from the fuse box to the switches and the light grey wires are for the switch illumination. Ok you will notice that the wires have been cut by nasty salvage yard man. For the feed from the fuse box does one switch feed off of the other one for power in? Will I need a relay for the windows? There is a 15amp fuse in postion 18 on the fuse box, I gather that is for electric windows would that be correct? The window motors have two wires black and blue. Checked every thing with a 12v supply and a multimeter and lo and behold all the switches do when presssed up is correct polarity and when pressed down reverse polarity or vice versa depend which way up the switch is or if you connect live to negative or live to live if that makes sense. Can you help with relay question please, running the live from the fuse box is easy and tapping in to the dash lighting feed is easy and running all the cables no problem. It has taken me a year to suss this out, with the most welcome help from every body that replied to my original post about the windows and I think that is patently obvious this car has never had electric windows fitted ever. Another thing the car has central locking, but only on the front doors. Was every thing a optionall extra on the Felicia? More money for Skoda.
  12. The window motors have two wires, that is two wires on each motor, the window switches have a lot of wires on them. Will post some pictures of wiring on switches and the window motors.
  13. The red live wires covered with the condom? Yes that is part of the original loom, looks like a Durex but is a clear plastic cover thingy.
