  1. I can also confirm that AP26U and AP21U fit and work fine on my Kodiaq. Thanks.
  2. Hi - can anyone help me to locate the part number for the apparent x2 rings that fix either side of rear window, as per arrow in picture? The window dropped into the door and with much faffing with coat hangers I've managed to fish the window out. However, these rings are missing. Elec regulator system seems to be in tact. p.s. screen shot is taken from this video re window removal ( Thanks
  3. Pleased to report I got the coding done recently by a very friendly Briskodian and also that the Bluetooth installation works and my phone and bolero are talking to each other. For reference here are a few bits that are/are not working (some of which I didn't expect to work anyway): Working: - BT module/cables & mic etc.. from car systems for £191 (€220) - installation 3hrs done by me (novice!) - car coding 15mins by friendly briskodian - handsfree phone calls, sound through car speakers and talk via microphone installed in interior light - make calls via bolero unit - phone call list (dialled/missed/received) showing actual contact names available via bolero unit - streams podcasts/googlemusic via phone, played through car speakers Not working: - phone book names not displayed in address book on bolero unit (they are there, but can’t distinguish the names) - no details of music track playing on bolero display unit - no ability to pause, skip forward or backward tracks via bolero unit FYI – I have a bolero (1Z0 035 156F) with no MFSW or maxidot, fitted in a 2010 octavia FL. If anyone knows if (and also how) I can get the ability to pause and skip tracks via the bolero unit that would be great
  4. m0bov... sorry to hi-jack this post....quick shout out to m0bov - your PM box is full, was going to ask if you could possibly do vag coding for a BT retro fit on my bolero that I've just done? You're pretty local to me. PM me. thanks!
  5. found it http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/262215-list-of-vcds-owners-previously-known-as-vag-com/
  6. So, I finally got around to fitting my BT kit this afternoon. I followed some excellent instructions from fellow members, it took me 3hrs, which I was pleased with as I've never done anything like this before and hadn't even attempted to remove stereo's/trim etc.. before. No idea if it works yet, as I need to get it coded. Can someone remind me where the map of briskodians are so I can ask one of them who is near me very very nicely if they can help? Thanks!
  7. Adding to the boring thread. I couldn't find the above £15 price on amazon, so used ebay (see attached) for £19.99 + free postage. They arrived and I fitted them in under 30seconds (I've never fitted them before).V happy. Hope they last through winter.
  8. yes, it would be interesting to see how yours looks against a bolero unit
  9. I'm interested in a brodit clip too. Two questions: 1. If you have a case or rubber skin on your phone, does this have to be removed before slotting it into the brodit mount? 2. Does anyone have a pic of what a centre mount looks like, with phone in place? Doesn't an iphone or s3 take up a large area of the vent and/or the bolero/columbus head unit? Otherwise, monkeyalan would you mind posting a pic of how it looks once you've got it fitted? cheers
  10. Do you have mfsw or maxidot or dashboard display white or red or any of that stuff? Fyi - I have nothing. Just the bolero unit.
  11. Took a week to arrive. Hoping to attempt fitting in the next week or so!
  12. I started this post a little while ago, just to let you know I've ended up ordering this part from car systems, who advised was the best BT kit for me. http://www.carsystems.pl/vw-bluetooth-kit-7p6035730k-retrofit-newest-version,id600.html Next I am going to attempt to fit it, and then probably asking someone nicely to code it for me :wonder: I'll let you know how it goes...gulp..
  13. I am in similar situation and found lots of info on this forum, you just have to read and pick out the relevant bits...and understand the terminology, what you currently have and what you need! If you don't want to do any fitting, I found and spoke to these guys, all very helpful. http://www.hazzydayz.com/genuine-skoda-bluetooth-handsfree-kit-supply--fit-1107-p.asp http://www.freeyourhands.co.uk/skoda_bluetooth.html http://www.carcommunications.co.uk/oem-accessories/oem-integration-and-retrofit/skoda_2757/octavia-1z-2005- Or, if you want to fit yourself, apart from ebay, this is a popular place to buy the BT kit. Again, email them, they are very helpful and will point you in the right direction of which BT kit suits you best. http://www.carsystems.pl/vw-bluetooth-kit-7p6035730k-retrofit-newest-version,id600.html
  14. I added some more songs last night. WMA files work fine but the bolero didn't like the MPEG-4 (.m4a) files, any idea why or how I can fix?
  15. I spoke to a guy from hazzydayz earlier today, he thought voice control would never be an option if you didn't have a MFSW or dash. Not sure if others can confirm this or not? His quote was also expensive (£375+vat for BT retro fit to bolero, £850+vat for refurbed Columbus supply & fit...then BT kit on top with a bit of a discount), but sounded like he knew what he was doing
