Bought the part in the link you sent mate, fitted in 10 mins, 20 mins to feed the pull cord through - works a treat! Cheers for the help! 👍 Part on the right - OEM £48 Part on the left - after market - £12 Identical parts! 🤷♂️

lol exactly! Have you ever tried changing a front indicator bulb on an Octavia 3? Needs bumper off, cluster removed, the buld is behind a sealed pastic housing that needs to be melted to get access then you need to buy a cover kit to cover the hole! Ridiculous!

Thats good enough for me! I'll buy it see how it goes. Looks pretty easy to fit, or am i in for skinned knuckles? Is it fiddly to feed the red pull cord through to the boot?

Thanks for this, however, it's saying the part doesn't fit a 2014 Octavia 3 Estate

ah ok, so the flap closes but doesn't clip shut, it's only the spring in the hinge keeping it closed? I bought a new actuator, seems a pretty easy fit - my local Skoda dealer quoted £144.50 per hour labour!!!! Sod that i'll do it myself lol

Hi, i've started getting the dreaded intermittent filler flap not opening on my 2014 Octavia vRS estate.. What part of the locking lug did you cut? Woukdl it be possible just to disconnect the motor, just unplug it so it doesn't lock but still latches when pushed closed? Seems to be a common issue.

Got the same error message on my 2014 Octavia Vrs. Checked the bulbs etc all ok. Lights do the up / down / left / right thing with no issues. Not done a diags yet but just wondering if you've any thoughts?

bluetooth connectivity - phone not connecting
HamishP replied to HamishP's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Hi mate, as far as I know you need to have a phone connected before you can delete previous or current paired phones! I know seems a bit odd. I’ve tried resetting the head unit & the Bluetooth module but nothings working! -
Hi, i have a 2011 Octavia Vrs DSG with Bluetooth, everything was fine until the other day when i had to disconnect my phone from the car, now it won't reconnect, infact the car won't connect to any phone! When i turn the ignition on the MFD says connecting to Hamish's iphone then says input code into phone - i.e 1111 2222 3333 4444. I've tried 2 other iphones and a couple of Samsungs and the phones can't find the car.... Any idea's?

Hello folks, Something odd happened last night with my 2011 Octavia VRs DSG. Engine was warm, started no problem, put into Drive, pulled away and got stopped at lights, felt a very slight jolt and a spanner symbol started flashing alternate with the D symbol. Seemed stuck in 1st gear, paddles wouldn't work, changing to manual didn't help. Pulled over, no info on the MFD re car status. Switched off, waited 5 mins and restarted - all cleared, drove perfectly!! Any ideas? Thanks guys Hamish

So I went back to skoda to confirm what they said, it does have an HPFP but the part number being quoted on lots of info online, 06D109309C, doesn’t appear on the engine parts list for the car. completely confused lol Apparently the cam follower was modified after 2008 because of the issues...
