  1. Recently bought a 2020 Octavia vRS estate and noticed there are bright LED's on the side of the main headlight cluster that come on randomly when the headlighht is on and when i select reverse (it's a DSG gearbox). They are super bright and light up the side of the road which is handy butu there is no rhym nor reason to when they come on! Sometimes when turning and sometimes when on a straight road! Very odd. Any ideas?
  2. mine looks like it's got a very light blue hue - very odd... Couple of pictures attached, ignore the black patch in Bumper 1 - that's been fixed by the seller.
  3. Hello troops - i've just bought a 2020 octavia vRS estate in Meteor Grey, lovely lovely car, however, the back bumper looks like it's been painted and the colour match is slightly off. Quizzed the sellar about it and they said it's kinda normal that sometimes the colour is very slightly different on plastic compared to the metalwork. Weird thing is it's only the sides of the bumper and not the rear! Is the seller correct? (seller being a VAG specialist - a respected garage in the North of England)
  4. So, as you would expect it's the expensive bit - comes with belts etc as a kit, i'm assuming that's the TMCU @TheClient... My local garage has quoted £875 in total for Parts, coolant etc & 6hrs labour.
  5. 2014 octavia vRS - leaking coolant quiet badly! 😞 Been told it's the water pump (drivers side of engine) Not sure if that's the expensive part quoted in this thread or the cheaper part! Going in to get fixed this week - Price should be interesting... Wish me luck!!
  6. No, I’ve got the estate, I just pulled the boot lining open and fed the cable through the inner wing…
  7. Bought the part in the link you sent mate, fitted in 10 mins, 20 mins to feed the pull cord through - works a treat! Cheers for the help! 👍 Part on the right - OEM £48 Part on the left - after market - £12 Identical parts! 🤷‍♂️

  9. lol exactly! Have you ever tried changing a front indicator bulb on an Octavia 3? Needs bumper off, cluster removed, the buld is behind a sealed pastic housing that needs to be melted to get access then you need to buy a cover kit to cover the hole! Ridiculous!
  10. Thats good enough for me! I'll buy it see how it goes. Looks pretty easy to fit, or am i in for skinned knuckles? Is it fiddly to feed the red pull cord through to the boot?
  11. Thanks for this, however, it's saying the part doesn't fit a 2014 Octavia 3 Estate
  12. ah ok, so the flap closes but doesn't clip shut, it's only the spring in the hinge keeping it closed? I bought a new actuator, seems a pretty easy fit - my local Skoda dealer quoted £144.50 per hour labour!!!! Sod that i'll do it myself lol
