Hello guys, today i've managed to make some time and fix my a/c pipe.I discovered the problem a month ago when i was checking my a/c system for the winter.One of the pipes that was feeding a/c agent to the compressor had a small leak made by a hose clip that goes to the DPF.Since my car had the DPF removed by the previous owner, probably at the assembly of the hoses someone forgot to clear the way for the a/c pipe.The hole jobe took me about 2 and a half ours, i didn't replace the pipe, i've welded the small hole and works like a charm:)A new pipe will cost around 150 euros without labour. For starters you have to remove the fuel filter and the water expansion tank of the engines cooling system.After that some screws and wires and you are almost there.Is hard to deconnect the pipes since you are working in a small space and you need little hands and fingers so it's wise to have some help near you:) These are some pictures of the job:) Also i have another problem, hope someone could help me, please, on one of the pictures, marked with red, i found a hose plugged with a screw.From what i saw the hose has a connection with the DPF.Please note that the DPF was removed by the previous owner.Now i don't know what to do, unplugge the hose or leave it there...The car runs fine with the hose plugged but no one couldn't give me a reason why the hose is like that. :( i just remembered, a few months ago i've driven a vw passat 2006 or 2007 with maxi-dot and on the bottom left of the maxi it showed the speed.The car was automatic, but i don't think there is a difference between automatic and manual for this kind of thing.

I've driven for a few days an 2008 audi a4 mostly on open roads and i saw that it has a cool feature, on the maxi-dot it can show your the speed which you are going with.I was woundering if i can code with vag-com my 08 octi rs to show that on the maxi-dot.I have some experience with coding.Also i'm interested with other features that can be activated on your maxi-dot,like oil temp, turbo boost etc. Thanks, Cosmin

Hello Stu08, i've used FOLIATEC paint for my calipers,it comes as a kit and it's very good for this kind of opertations and the price is good, around 20-25 euro/kit.When i bought the paint i saw on their website that they have a green that resembles with the green code that you are looking. Sorry Scotty wasn't paying attention, now i saw your skoda is petrol, mine's diesel so the egr and throttle cleaning doesn't apply,sorry. Like Mr.G said, check the recall on the coil packs, i have friends with mk5 gti, audi tt 2006-2007 who had recalls on the coils.Also if you are changeing the coils you should change the spark plugs to, i had on my mk5 gti ngk iridium and they were great, also it is important on a 2.0 TFSI to change the CAM follower on your high pressure pump.The cam follower is a cheap part, i'd payed apox 30 euros from porche romania and it only takes about half an hour to change it, max, but i recommend to do it in a shop not yourself. Hello Scotty, the same isue i had with my skoda.On Saturday i've cleaned my EGR and the throttle body and the problem seems to be solved.Also after the cleaning the throttle seems to respond more quickly. Best of luck, Cosmin

Hello guys, nice to meet you A few months ago i swapped my mk5 2005 Gti for a Skoda Octavia 2 vRS CR Tdi.When i got the car she needed some little bit of care and a new set of wheels so i bought the original vRS rims, tinted all windows in black.Saturday i tooked the car in the shop and cleaned the EGR and throttle body. The previous owner had the DPF removed and the ecu flashed, but the flash is pretty rubbish, the engine is explosive from 2300 rpms:(. I'm pretty excited about the car,since this is my first diesel car, done from april since now aprox. 7000 kms. In the future (hopefully in 1-2 months) i want to replace the stock suspension with a set of coilovers and definitely a new ecu flash. Please excuse my english, this isn't my native language:)
