  1. I had exactly the same issue, waggling foot left and right. Then I RTFM'd and got it working
  2. Oh I have no intention of paying this, I didn't ask them to do it and the 5 litres of fuel from the factory would have been sufficient to get me to the petrol station just down the road and I'm certainly going to let them know my feelings on the subject and that I will not be using them to service the car.
  3. This is the line from my collection email " In order to Drive away a chargeable £40.00 for fuel be collected on collection. "
  4. So I can collcet my L&K tomorrow so pretty much 17 weeks all in. Now i just need to argue the point about the £40 drive away charge which wasnt mentioned at point of order...
  5. I was initially told 8-10 weeks for my 2.0 TSI, Quartz grey, L&K Estate. Took 6 weeks to get a build date which was actually the same week that was supposed to be the delivery week 10 week delivery date. I'm now at week 16 and have been promised I should have it by the end of the week.
  6. Ordered mine (L&K estate 220 TSI DSG) July 26th was told build week was week 40 and should be with them week 44. I assume the big delay with order and build is for an estate slot. Still a bit miffed though as it's caused havoc extending the lease and trying to just get an extra months insurance on my existing car!
  7. If you goto the Skoda website and use the car configurator it gives you a list of all the extras over the last model
  8. I came from a 2013 Superb in elegance trim to a BMW 335d MSport. While the Beemer is an excellent motor and that torque will be hugley missed, i'm going back to a new Superb L&K simply because the level of bells and whistles knocks the socks off the beemer which is worth 10k more! Going to miss that engine though....
  9. I placed my order with SImpsons (L&K Estate 2.0 TSI) and they were significantly cheaper than anyone else I could find. I managed to negotiate the 2.5k initial rental down to 1k and the 500 deposit is also returned when I receive the car.
  10. The x30 engine is twin scroll, not twin turbo, the x35 engines are twin turbo. HTH
  11. Used Colne for my previous Superb estate and all was good. However looking to get back into a Superb L&K, I first went to Preston and was treated really well and test drove the 1.4T and the 2.0TDi, but really wanted to drive the 2.0TSI as thats what i wanted. Was given very good quotes from Preston and eventually found a 2.0TSI to test drive at Colne a number of weeks later. Preston were slagged off by the salesman straight off the bat telling me how bad their staff were and they were not a proper family owned business like they were. Anyway after the test drive I was happy to strike the deal there and then, but they wanted £120/pm more than Preston! granted it hadbeen a number weeks since the quote from Preston, so i asked for a fresh quote from preston and it too had gone up by £20/pm, leaving Colne at a £100/pm disadvantage. Deal done with Preston
  12. Hi Folks, I used to have a MkII Superb Estate in Elegance trim but I've had a BMW 335d for the last couple of years. Love the beemer and the ZF 8 speed auto is pretty much perfect. That all said I miss the room in the Superb and I really like the look of the MKIII. Popped into Simpsons in Preston at the weekend and drove a 1.4 TSI and 2.0 TDI, both sportlines. To be fair I was quite impressed with the 1.4 and thought it was the better drive of the two with the TDI being quite gruff. My main concern was DSG, after the ZF box in the beemer I am totally sold on auto and won't be going back to manual unless I have too. Having driven a Seat Leon 2.0 TDI DSG it left me far from impressed the way it hunted gears and not changing down to almost stalling point. Both the test drives were a different world however and much better and close to the ZF. Although any engine in the Skoda range going to be a step down from the grunt and refinement of the 6 pot in the 335, I think I am going to settle on the 220bhp TSI. I am in two minds over the panoramic sunroof but other than that the spec i am thinking of is: L&K Trim Beige interior Quartz Grey 19" Phoenix anthracite alloys Gear paddles One of my frustrations with sales is that no matter who they asked, no one could fully explain plethora of options to do with the entertainment system. So my question is, given the high spec of the L&K, what other options might be viewed as essential/good to haves? Cheers.
  13. So i braved the cold and got the car on my ramps, removed the plastic floor and there the little bugger was! Right underneath everything and quite impossible to get at from the top. Reassembled everything and went for a little drive, got the car warmed up and wow what a difference it made! Quick trip home and switched to 2+1 from the setting it came with 2+0 A quick trip down the motorway it actually felt like i was in 4th not 6th and had to double check! I'll give it a couple of tanks on this setting then have a play with program 4.
  14. It was cold! and i still didn't find the bloody MAP sensor plug! I did however have a run out without the MAP leads attached and was quite impressed I'll have another look today and give you a ring if I am still struggling.
