  1. I have some good figures from carwow on fabia and had one back with £500 of up gti. Just waiting on figures on Tuesday when vw release pcp figures for up. I have had 2 test drives of up and it will be fun but engine also makes it quite lazy to drive.
  2. I had that dilemma last year and decided to get small loan out and keep it. Skoda said when I got it, that it would be worth a deposit on new car at end of pcp but got figures so wrong it was worth nothing. It's now got 50000 miles and is getting a bit worn but did we buy any car thing other night at its worth £4000 according to them. I only owe £3000 on loan so have £1000 profit in car! I'm looking at getting new up gti but part of me is saying just sort dampers and keep it.
  3. My citigo is now 4 years old and with 50000 miles it's time for change. My problem is do I get up gti or fabia monty carlo? I really want dsg box but after driving up gti the other day, I do like the up. Both are similar price on carwow. Not sure what way to go. The good news is the citigo is going up in price weekly on we buy any car ( not sure Why) so I have a bit of profit in car for once. Just waiting on figures for pcp on the up gti on Tuesday. What one would you get?
  4. I'm busy doing mine. I have 6 1/2 rings and some focal component speaker to fit. I removed front ones last weekend, you have to drill rivets out to remove. The only problem I can see is that I wanted to fit tweeter into door and not a pillar but don't think the focal crossover will fit door
  5. You have to take 4 screws out from behind heater panel then the removal tools will pull it out but mine was very very tight. Make sure remove tools are right way.
  6. First mod to our citigo. Decided to get rid of PID and fit DAB headunit and upgrade sound system. Tomtom bracket fitted into hole left by PID and power fed up through hole via ignition switched live. Bit tight for space down back of stereo and still need 2 sets of rca cabled fed through to boot for amp. Going with focal component 6 1/2 fronts and JL Audio 8" sub driven by 4 channel JL Audio amp. Also need to fit dab roof antenna as i really hate those glass mounted ones. I think ill wrap roof black while antenna is out. Have a bit of a list so will keep you informed New wheel and lower another 2" or so ( have greentech and needs dropping bit more) Projector headlights Roof wrap Tinted windows

    Pid removal

I tried just putting cap back in but it won't hold weight of tomtom. I was hoping there was a solid mount I could put back in and drill mount onto that. If all cars had wiring I'll just drill into bit I was going to take out and sell with pid.

    Pid removal

My 3 year lease has just ended and I have decided to keep car. Time to start some mods starting with stereo upgrade. I'm going to remove the whole pid system and will need to fill the bracket mount hole. I have the little plastic cap but assume there was something under it that was screwed in place of my connector? I need a solid month as I'm going to fit my tomtom in place of pid. In help in removal of cable assembly would be helpful. Thanks

    City safe

Never needed mine so far but you get loads of false detections when cars are turning left in front of you and it thinks you are going to hit it ( even thought you won't). I'm just pleased it only works up to 20 mph or so. For it worked at motorway speeds I can imagine what would happen when someone jumps into space in front of you. I can see them causing more problems than they cure at higher speeds

    Auto hold

I tried it today on hill and think its there but goes of so quick its almost a waste of time. Nothing like auto hold system on vw's. I could not get it to work when pulling away from start but if i stopped on hill it did stop me for about a second. Think ill stick with hand brake

    Auto hold

That's the confusion. My auto hold on passat works for about 4 minutes and works on brake pressure when you stop. If the skoda hill assist only works for 2 seconds that might be why I'm missing it. I'm also old school and always use handbrake when stopped. I'll try it today on hill near work.

    Auto hold

I'll have to have look with vcds at weekend. Mine is early 13 and definitely roles back on hills.

    Auto hold

Does it have a switch like other vw cars or is it completely automatic?

    Auto hold

Can someone please settle a argument with a "know it all at work". They say there car has auto hold. I had a rear brake problem that made my car not role back on hills and I belive this is happening to there's. I fitted auto hold on my b6 passat and had to fit switch and change sittings in vcds. There car has no switch, it just holds on hills. I think it is just drum brake problem but stand to be corrected.
