  1. No haha, wasn't meant in that way lol Have had some interest in them from a couple of mates but no ones come up with the cash yet. Anyhow, looks like coming along now and god was pure filth in there.
  2. Going to be an interesting project All I have left of mine now are the coilovers and front poly mounts.
  3. Don't know for sure in all honesty although I have taken a refreshed fancy in a Zafira Gsi as I've always wanted one since I drove one 7 years ago. Whatever I get it needs to be turbo'd again as enjoyed boosting too much to go back to n/a. Haven't got a 100% definite thought yet though. In all honesty I am a bit gutted and since I've got £500 odd worth of performance bits I'm the garage for the octy it's a bit of a ball ache. Looked nice as was driving off down the road as never really got to see it driving along since I bought it :(
  4. Well it's gone. After everything that had gone on I have now sold the octy. Shame to see it drive off down the road but I think the new owners got plans in store for it already. Now to sell my other bits that I no longer need too lol. Will stick around on here as still enjoy reading what you guys are going with yours
  5. All sounds good yep lie good to see those when done. No in fairness in that fed up with it now that I wouldn't keep chasing the faults now. It's just a long list of one after another so it won't give me the chance to enjoy it. It's running now and driving nicely as it was before but as I say I've lost all interest I'm the car. May get another one at some point down the line as they look awesome when modded but is probably just be jumping from one problem child to another at the mo.
  6. Look forward to the pics I really don't know what if replace it with as haven't got anything that's really grabbing me in my price range at present. Really want to keep turbo as the noise and feel has bitten me again but unsure of which route id go with it. I've seen another octy for sale which looks exactly how mine would've when it was done (tempting me to keep going) but my interest with my one has all but vanished now as it will never be what I really want and with its issues (current time of life) I just can't see me getting on with it now. It really is a shame with the bits I bought to put on it but at present it won't happen. If I could find a newer example to buy to then start moddin I probably would but I would now be wondering if my luck with the octavia would follow in the same path. Just really unsure of what to replace with. Still sounds like yours is finally going in the direction you wanted it to head, it's good you are pushing on with it As I was having to do it on very limited funds and mine is an older one I just don't want to carry on with it now. As I say though, look forward to seeing how yours is sitting now
  7. Glad it's all sorted for you bud, be good to see some pics when you get a few hassle free mins lol Well I don't think I'll be getting mine done now, I'm literally getting the issues sorted and selling it on and the full system and other parts will be sold on to just hopefully mean I don't make too much of a loss on it. Got fed up with it already and just haven't had the real interest in it from the off. Unfortunate as it is a good car and they do the family stuff well but as it turns out the octy just isn't for me as it seems. Just haven't got the want to carry on with her now. :( Still really looking forward to seeing yours now it's "decked" and glad that you got it all done after your issues
  8. Didn't see this when I looked before, thanks for the link
  9. Mate that is crappy luck. Just like my kinda luck if honest. When it goes wrong it does it properly and makes things as awkward as possible. Hope you can get it sorted easily
  10. Ah fair enough, I just saw it on there and wondered what had happened. Fair play, when you want a change that's what you need to do
  11. What's made you sell up with this Adam? I've seen it online and recognised it straightaway
  12. Yeah it'll look great once all fitted and it's settled down. I want to see how mine potentially stands to look lol
  13. Thanks buddy, I just thought I'd make the most of my old kit I made up for the mg. Pipe works a bit bigger at 76mm internal but all went in ok but due to the clutch haven't as of yet taken it out for a blast. Hopefully will sound tasty on there
  14. I've got the ZE914's and can't fault them at present. Granted at the mo mine is on standard tyre size, not lowered and not had any power mods done but Christ they just grip but even I can get the front to lose traction in third if I really try hard. I had them on my Mg too once the ZE912's dried up. The 912's were absolutely brilliant and that was on a highly modded car and they just kept on giving. Several track days and daily road use and they still took over 2 years of punishment. Granted the 914's aren't quite as good as them, they are called ecorun so it's probably a better tyre for increased mpg and overall carbon footprint and all that rubbish but even when put on the mg they weren't too far off the 912's which is why I went for them on the octy. They do tend in the cold cold dampness of an early morning let you spin freely from time to time though but does depend if your trying to reshape the footwell lol
  15. Here's a couple of the pics of the newer bits on the car although taken on phone and under light of fluorescent lamp so not great :( Not much to get amazingly excited about at present but I guess it's something
