  1. Try these guys http://www.gearboxman.co.uk ive used them before when i had an Escort RS Turbo and they were top notch!!
  2. I had mine regassed at Pugeot as my friend worked there and he said same about it not filling if it had a leak but i can confirm mine deffo leaked as it was nice and cold when first done and then after a week or so i could hear a hissing wvery time i used the aircon and now its back to being just cool again. I will look at fixing it one day but i dont use it that often, i also bought a replacement sensor and returned it in end as was told it wasnt at fault.
  3. Replaced the arm rest catch, got to remember to clip it shut properly now instead of just dropping it. Downside is that i broke some clips on the lid so i had to glue it down and hold it all tight:
  4. Cool, ive added alot of things myself like interior and door handle lighting with LED's if you could get me some pics of the puddle lights and things im going to have a look at fitting those as well. Cheers!
  5. Great looking car, on one of your previous pictures did i see that you had puddle lights in your wing mirror or under your door? Or was it just the angle of a light in the background? Cheers
  6. Got some new parts on the way, not very exciting but will do the pics when they arrive: New wiper blades, Blue tinted wing mirror glass, Latch repair kit for the arm rest I also used the last of my sound deadening on the back doors.
  7. Never heard that myself, never seen 2 versions either.
  8. I would run them down either drivers or passengers side trim where the carpet meets the plastic. Should be quite easy to tuck it under with out having to remove any panels.
  9. Brother has a T4 2.5TDI, its a 888 special. He bought it a few years ago and it had basic conversion: bed and cupboards, carpeted panels. Since he has owned it we have stripped it right back, done all the insulation and sound deadening. Fitted a new mdf floor and then covered it in altro vinyl, fitted electrics with a lesiure battery and split charing and hook up, new carpet in the front of van, stereo. Sorted his bed foam out wit memory foam toopers and covers and fitted curtains. Still got to do rear view camera at some point. Its a great van, doesnt really struggle on hills, think its been remaped, camping in it is fine as awning clips to side of van, its comfortable to sleep in and on cold nights has an oil filled rad if they are hooked up. Its done over 160k and he has recently replaced alot of parts as off to Norway in a few weeks. I would recomend you join http://www.vwt4forum.co.uk/index.php Have alook at whats for sale and what issues people have etc.
  10. I went for powerflex as they are easier to fit than the cupra's
  11. Last year my brother was using the car and managed to loose my gel badge from pastyboy so been driving with no basge for ages, now that the grill was starting to get chipped i thought was about time to sort it so my friends kindly wrapped my grill: Just waiting to go back in work and then i can refit it with a new badge that arrived today.
  12. Whilst they were aprt i also got round to fitting some new speakers that i had bought as prt of a kit with the little loom adaptors and speaker adaptors. The speaker adaptors were a bit of a pain really as the other types i had seen had space for you to pop rivit them back on but these were different so i had to rivnut the door carrier and then bolt the adaptors in place. Also coated it in sealent to stop any leakss and keep them in place: Also made these adaptors for the tweeters from bits that come in the kit: They arent pretty but they clipped in standard location and hold tweeter firmly so its ok:
  13. Was also geting alot of noise and vibrating doorcards from speakers and road so i found some cheap sound deadening to help with the issue, got about 19/20 sheets: I cooked it for a bit: Stripped door card off and started fitting: I did fit more than shown in the pics and did both sides.
  14. Got given some shells by a friend: Polished them up abit: And fitted:
  15. Not really done anything in car in over a year apart from driving it about for work. I got a few bits sorted that were starting to bug me, got a new headunit with a USB slot on front so i can use my iphone instead of the connects 2 unit as was getting alot of interference.
  16. I replaced all my bushes with powerflex, bottom arms, top mounts, track rod ends and it went away. I still get a very slight bobbly noise when i first set off but i put that down to my AP coilovers.
  17. Just seen this on the news: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/car-crashes-metrolink-stop-after-11007214#ICID=FB-MEN-main
  18. But ive changed my motor recently and not my control unit. Is coding even possible for rear wiper? Could the wiper stalk be broken?
