  1. I had no problems with mine when fitting a full milltek system with Decat... Then had a mufflerectomy I personally love the grunt of mine when flat out! Some people aren't very keen on the noise but all down to personal preference I suppose! And if you don't want to contribute to harmful emissions or the noise then consider a high-flow sports cat...?
  2. No mention of any turbo upgrade or front mount... Would like to see a print out of these power figures...
  3. I did have the kkk, then went to a Garrett pd150 then that broke so have a Garrett pd130, all using the same outlet coupling
  4. Ah ok I'm sure that would work yeah, I just wanted to eliminate all the clips on the pipe work so full hard pipe kit for me! The intercooler is 63mm inlet and outlet and have used 51mm pipes so reducers were needed
  5. If you have egr delete as I do it would be a 90° silicone bend, top aluminium boost pipe is a 70° bend into a 45° silicone bend into the top of the smic. From the turbo is a 90° silicone bend, into a 90° Aluminium boost pipe with a 30° bend on the end which goes into a straight silicone reducer into the bottom of the smic. I had the aluminium boost pipes made up from a local exhaust place, also had the ends beaded This isn't a straight forward fit, I had to cut away some of the chassis underneath the headlight. Mine is aparantly good for 220bhp... But I don't think it is, depending on what sort of power you are wanting I suppose...
  6. If you have a look at this thread, go to the last couple of pages and you'll see exactly what I used http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/247147-uprated-smic-another-ic-option/page-5
  7. As some of you may know I've been having problems with my brand new GT1749vb pd150 turbo, police siren noise and uncontrollable boost levels (way over 2 bar). I managed to get my hands on a used GT1749va pd130 turbo and fitted it yesterday so I can send the faulty pd150 turbo back to be sorted, the car is back on a standard map and driving smoother than ever! I'm now thinking whether to keep the pd130 turbo on the car and sell the pd150 turbo once I have it back from turbo active... Has anyone here ran both turbos? If so what difference could you see with them? In regards to turbo lag, power figures etc. Jamie.
  8. I believe i am the only one on here who has done the upgraded smic due to my standard imtercooler being damaged... I remember when doing logs on standard imtercooler it was around 86° or so. When doing logs on the dyno on a 22° day it was around 54° so better than standard but nothing on a fmic!
  9. When we removed my old ones there was a lot of oil where the bolts come out so had to soak it all up with rag which is the time consuming part, but saying that doing them one by one you soon get through them!
  10. Haha I wouldn't say they're 100% man boobs, I would say 40% is muscle 60% is moob
  11. When me and hutchy did mine we used his power bar but maybe we should of put another bar on for better leverage! There's always next time
  12. The 2nd 90° turn on the head bolts gave me stretch marks on my shoulders, if you haven't done them before I would suggest doing stretches first
  13. It seems the turbo is still under warranty but as for the over boosting the police siren noise is getting worse so it must be the bearing... So the turbo is coming off next week and being sent back to resolve the problem! Also just bought a GT1749va from a fabia vrs so will be putting that on for the time being!
