  1. yes, to charge it up. It doesnt work, i will have to contact the dealer again
  2. I used ensurance in feb 2015 and they were hopeless, quicker to just ring the insurance company direct
  3. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/gallery/album/1991-pid/ there is a photo of the pid display...no other options occur, nothing happens other than this screen

  5. I didn't get it done in the end, I just had to keep pulling it up higher and higher. I've just got a new one so hopefully the dealer will sort it before selling it on
  6. I'm scanning this for ideas but it looks to me as if the car isn't recognising it https://static.garmincdn.com/autoOem/skoda/docs/UserManualUK.pdf
  7. Hi Just bought a Citigo Colour edition...charged the PID, plugged it onto car, put key in, screen of PID says 'insert key into ignition' then nothing else happens. It has stayed like that for at least half an hour, tried it four times and it remains the same. Any ideas????
  8. Within a couple of months my hand brake was loose-ish and has to be pulled up high (I park on a hill), at the car's first service I mentioned this...DM Keith said they'd heard this was happening to a few people, it would be £45 to fix as it's user wear and tear. Someone else told me that this isn't right, since the car was new, they shouldn't be charging for the repair??? It's due it's second service and I haven't yet addressed it...I can get it done much cheaper but was unsure if i was allowed to use another repaier other than Skoda. Advice please!
  9. My 2013 Citigo had failure of 1st and reverse within 2 weeks of owning it from new...it got stuck in reverse, RAC 'fixed' it, then on the drive to the garage, 1st gear completely failed. It had to have a completely new gearbox under warranty.

Hi, it was ensurance provided by skoda as in the link above. It got sorted in the end by Skoda Leeds, who were helpful and brilliant. I would not recommend ensurance or admiral to anybody. i'm not even sure why ensurance exists if they cant help you when you need it. Admiral said they provide a 'free courtesy car'...that was only if you were happy for them to repair your car at a garage of their chosing (no doubt the cheapest). As I wanted Skoda to repair it, Admiral would only send it to Skoda Blackburn, 100 miles away, (Skoda York is 3 miles from here) but they wouldn't provide a courtesy car for any distance beyond 20 miles, and said I'd have to get the car to Blackburn myself. I was on the phone for about 5 hours sorting it out. In the end, I rang DM Keith accdent line, who couldn't help, but they put me through to Skoda Leeds for advice and they totally sorted it out for me, but I had to pay £45 in insurance cover for the courtesty car they provided. My excess was £350 and the repair cost Admiral £2500. It was an expensive day out for me, I'd just got a student load overpayment refund of £400 I was looking forward to spending on something nice!!!

Now the insurance company are having difficulty dealing with it as they can only give a courtesy car from the garage of their choice but skoda was the car to go to leeds (20+miles away)...nobody wants to take responsibility for moving the car which is undrivable

apparently as i damaged the car myself it makes it extra complicated for skoda to deal with

Ensure called me back at 8am, after i initially called them at 6pm yesterday, they can not handle it (???) saying the car is not roadworthy so to ring my insurance. Rang insurance that can not send it to a VW approved garage, only to a garage which does VW parts (???), if they send it to the nearest VW garage approved by the insurer it is 97 miles away (theres one actually 2 miles down the road) they then can not give me a courtesy car as its out of area. the insurer has rung DM Keith twice. I have insisted the car is a lease-to-buy and the work must be done by VW approved since the car will be going back to where i bought it....still gotten nowhere after being on phone 45 minutes at 8p per minute. I knew this would happen!
