  1. Are your brake lights working? I had the same problem on my Octavia and it was a duff brake switch. The brake switch cancels cruise control when breaking.
  2. I invested in one of these, does the trick. https://www.amazon.co.uk/CTEK-Start-40-106-Battery-Charger/dp/B00YBR8PFK/ref=sr_1_4?crid=JZP3L7PH9TF&dchild=1&keywords=ctek+stop+start+battery+charger&qid=1587986998&sprefix=cetek+stop+start%2Caps%2C136&sr=8-4
  3. I have 19s fitted, easily kerbed. Stick to 18s.
  4. New to the site but not to Skoda. My first was an Octavia PD130 tdi purchased new in 2003. Very reliable car, in 7 years and 70,000 miles I changed 4 tyres and 2 front anti roll bar bushes. P/X in 2010 (under the no VAT scheme) for a new DSG Octavia Vrs Tsi. So far 100% reliable but to date has only 17,000 miles on the clock. Am about to fit the winter tyres and wheels (ex Audi A3, PCD 5 x 112 , 16" with an ET of 47). Like the look of the new Mk 3 Vrs but to date not tempted.
