  1. Thank you, I think from what I can gather the code you’ve attached is the genuine wheel code. The other code appears to be what Skoda offer as an accessory wheel option??? The same wheel but at a lot cheaper price…….. not really sure how that works. I’m just waiting on confirmation from a dealer but it’s certainly what’s been suggested.
  2. Morning, as per the title, could someone advise on the correct part number for the uk spec Gemini alloy wheel. Google seem to bring up two different numbers and both look the same from stock photos. Those numbers found are: 5E0601025AJ HA7 5E0071498E HA7 Cheers Walts
  3. Hi, If your down south maybe have a look at Stu the detailer. Stu does some basic training courses where previously he let you take your car for the work to be done on. If he still does this you’ll get to use his equipment, learn the basics now and in the process have your car all sorted. Stu’s prices have always been really competitive so maybe worth looking into. all the best
  4. All depends on the look your after I guess. If you want the circle Skoda emblem I’d say order the ones from Superskoda, yes there expensive but the quality is second to none. If you just wanted some of the other emblems, ie the Octavia and the VRS badge you could order the ones off the new current model which come black as standard. All the best
  5. Thank you. When I went get the car I got there early but still ended up being late home from talking with Jon. Really genuine bloke and clearly passionate about what he does.
  6. Thank you. Luckily I spoke with Andy before committing to the purchase from the dealer which is partly why I ended up with it. He’s such a nice bloke and since then I’ve met with him and the Gemini is now currently sat in my garage. All the best
  7. Thank you, it’s brought the car back to as new, with the added protection and hopefully I’ll be able to keep it that way.
  8. Thank you, it was in really good condition and the specs amazing, it’s all just been enhanced so much ......... Luv it
  9. Hi folks, please forgive me if I waffle on but thought I’d create a post following an extremely positive experience with a detailer I’ve just used. Having had cars detailed previously by others and suffering a level of OCD when it comes to looking after my car, I can’t tell you how chuffed I am with Advance detail. I contacted Jon at Advance after noticing a few little bits on the car with it now being little over two years old. The car itself was owned by Auric Goldfinger, a very active member on here and it’s clearly been cherished. Over the years unavoidable minor marks have been inflicted from washing, the gloss b pillars have inevitably marked and a good general decontamination was needed after going through the dealer used car prep. The car was booked in and within a few weeks Jon was able to get me in for a silver detail which was then protected with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra, something only available through the accredited network. In my opinion Jon and his colleague Luke have done a fantastic job and I hope my pictures do it justice. The paintwork looks like new, the panels feel like glass, the beading is fantastic and he’s even added Paint protection film to delicate areas. I want to make it clear I’ve not received a discount on this process and I’m in no way linked to Advance detail. I honestly think that when someone does something just right that you pay for it’s worth the recognition. If nothing else hopefully you like the pictures, if my review helps one person who’s on the fence of what to get done or where to go then that just a bonus. All the best folks.
  10. Final update (hopefully) So the car went to the dealers today and had the a second amp in the boot lid changed and all appears well. The codes cleared and the DABs remained on so far. At the moment the garage are putting things down to a warranty fault that may have just been brought on by the windows been tinted or this could of just been a complete coincidence. Thanks to those who took the time to offer any advice.
  11. The footrest is good quality to be honest, my logic would just say to buy some more bits to justify the delivery :-)
  12. Just been on superskoda today out of interest and noticed it’s the last day of their annual sale. I know they won’t ship big bits anymore but if anyone’s after badges, touch up pens, foot rests or the smaller tweaks it might save someone a few ££££ all the best http://www.kopacek.com
  13. Afternoon, After we removed the dash cam and had the same issue we thought it could be the tint. We’ve been onto the manufacturer and they claim there is no metallic on the film, it’s designed that way to avoid this exact problem apparently. I’ve everything crossed for this amp been the issue on Wednesday and can finally put this problem to rest. thanks for taking the time to contribute.
  14. Little update: So having been at Skoda today the cars been on the diagnostic system. From what I understand a faults been shown and I think this was referred to as something showing an open source/ line or fault. Apparently all the wires leading too and from the rear window appear in order and although one amplifier in the hatch lid has been changed there appear to be a second that could be at fault. The plan at this time is to change that amp and if that doesn’t do the job then a new rear window might be required. It’s still unknown if the tints have caused any issues of this has all just been a coincidence.
  15. That’s perfect advice thank you, the fitter does work for the main agent and so the cars in Monday with them so will pass this on. I’ll update Monday afternoon. thank you
