  1. I have an 07 Octavia Sport 2.0 TDI.

I am looking to change the  "audience" head unit out for an Alpine Cde-W235BT.

The car does not have any controls on the steering wheel.

I have been told I need a canbus adapter in order to install the Alpine.

I have looked at this http://www.connects2.co.uk/ProductInformation.aspx?id=16843&p=CTKSK02

as it is a complete kit with hopefully everything I need.

I just want someone to confirm that I am getting the right thing?

    Thanks

  2. I am looking to replace the factory head unit with one an Alpine double Din CDE-W235BT. I've been told I need an Installation kit CTKSK02 which has everything I need to get the unit to work. The kit is on this website http://www.carcommunications.co.uk/car-accessories/fitting-accessories/connects2-car-stereo-fitting-kit-double-din-facia-radio-installation-for-skoda-ctksk02

As part of the description it says that it has the CAN-Bus Steering Wheel Control Interface. My car doesn't have steering wheel controls. Do I still need this kit, do I still need a Canbus adaptor?

The car is a 2007 Skoda Ocatavia Sport.

  3. Sorry to resurrect this old post but I am looking at the Erisin units aswell for my 2007 Skoda Octavia Sport.

Have you still got yours John? If so how has it been?

Did you have to get a canbus adaptor with it?

    Cheers

Danamo - Did you ever buy one? if so how did you get on with it?
