  1. The car was only two years old and still in warranty when I bought it. No paperwork or anything said about the bootlid being removed. I've only noticed it recently due to the flaking in the bottom corner. I'm pretty sure the paint has been immaculate up until recently. Thanks, I'mconsidering ringing the dealer, but as they're kind of far away I've not had it serviced by them since the end of the warranty. I'm expecting them to tell me to eff off!
  2. Hi all, I've got rust and paint flaking from the lip of the boot on my 2014 Mk3 VRS. The bottom right corner is particularly bad, but while inspecting it yesterday I noticed further rust all along the underside of the edge. I have a plastic rear guard fitted to protect tyhe edge of the boot so am wondering if that could have effected it, with water getting trapped possibly. I'm mainly wondering whether to bother approaching Skoda with it as I'm the second owner and have had the 5 years, or just take it to a bodyshop for a smart repair or something.
