  1. Very true! My VRS is 3 years old next week on a 3.5 year PCP and I'd live to work out what to do next, but with no info yet from Skoda UK on price I'm stuck in a bit of a limbo.
  2. Not sure if this has been posted before, but the VRS has now appeared in the configurator on the Czech Skoda site https://www.skoda-auto.cz/modely/nova-octavia/nova-octavia-combi-rs Built a VRS 2.0 TSI DSG with no options added and it came out to about £34,500 once converted to £.... Will be interesting to see what it is priced at when it comes out here, and what offers dealers will have to get people into the showroom.
  3. This is my absolute best, on a run from Camberley, Surrey to Dorking, Surrey on the M3 and M25. Was on expenses for mileage so cruised all the way at 60mph. On a normal run I get around 35-36MPG per tank. That is on a mixture of motorway and crawling in traffic.
  4. I had a Mk3 TDI VRS for the last 3 years, so already used to the ride :-) Don't have DCC so this is the standard setup. I've actually found the FL to be a slightly nicer ride than my pre-FL VRS. It feels a little better put together and less noisy as far as I can tell.
  5. Had my new FL VRS 230 for about a month now and averaging 35.1MPG over around a 1000 miles. Did a drive yesterday for work on a mixture of A roads, town and motorway and got 43.7MPG! Granted that was slow cruising, and good luck with traffic, but nice to know the TSI can get some good mileage if the conditions are right. My last car was a VRS TDI, so missing the MPG I used to get from that, but the TSI is just a different beast
  6. I had this problem with the Columbus system on my 2014 VRS. It started out with all the speakers crackling intermittently across all audio sources. Unfortunately, it then progressed to random intervals where no audio could be heard at all. Didn't matter what source was selected, there would be no sound at all. Then, all of a sudden the audio would randomly cut back in (pretty scary when driving on the motorway and you'd left the volume turned up trying to get the sound to come back!!) I took it into the dealer to get looked at and they found nothing wrong with the speaker connectors. They tried to change the screen (head unit) but this made no difference, so in the end they had to change the whole unit in the glove box. This fixed the issue for me. Luckily the car was still under warranty, so didn't cost me anything. I did see the invoice, however, and it would have been for £2,500!! I really hope you don't get the same issue!
