  1. JoseDB's post in 7 days free insurance? was marked as the answer
ALL UK marques have to offer it as it's the only way they can guarantee the car is insured when they come to tax it.

    7X2 should do the above.
If you have 7X5 it has side sensors too (so the screen shows the extra 'radar bars' down the side of the car).

Holding down unlock will open the windows. Likewise holding lock will close them.
If I'm ever leaving the dog for a few mins in the car I use this feature to crack the windows (yea yea, dogs die in cars, I know - I'm taking about 5 mins on non hot days!).

Max 24 months or 18,600 miles (30k KM) on variable.
  5. JoseDB's post in Spotify via MDI/Bluetooth was marked as the answer
I use Spotify and found on almost all cars, when using USB it often does all the things you suggest, and over bluetooth it is all gravy. I usually plug in the USB for charging purposes only and stream over bluetooth. I've not tried it on the Octy (as I haven't got it yet) but the courtesy Yeti I have this works just fine, as with previous Audi's and also the Pioneer system in my MR2.
I think the USB controls are trying to be too closely integrated with the iPod app and not thinking people may want to use alternatives like Spotify/Last Fm etc.
