It's a DAB adapter that integrates into the standard radio and the CAN to give you full functionallity without an extra/external controller.

I've never tried it but it looks good!

Thanks for the replys, you've been a great help; the "mic + setup and eject" and firmware disk partiallly helped, it stopped the continual system reset but it couldn't cure it because the DVD reader had gone faulty   That probably was what caused the problem in the first place.

 

I've fitted a new DVD drive and then run the software recovery disk and got my system back, the only problem after that was that the maps were corrupted; a map update from the SD card installed V12 maps and now all is well :clap:

 

I tried to update the firmware from 5238 to 5274, I got the white box with the green loader indication but at the end of that, after a few automatic resets, nothing had changed; I decided to quit while I was ahead.

install a new firmware, what you need to do is press - mic + setup and eject in one go

Help please!!

I tried to update the maps on my Columbus and something went wrong, now I can hear the machine reading the DVD then it resets within a couple of seconds and cycles over and over again.

I've tried a system reset and a system reset disk but it hasn't worked; any ideas?

[octavia bluetooth module]

I have just fitted a "Fiscon Kufatec Plus 36496 Volkswagen VW Skoda handsfree" Bluetooth unit in my O2 FL (with Maxidot), it works without the need for rSAP on the phone.

The fitting was straight forward apart from getting the connector cable plugged into the Head Unit - took a bit of working out! Once the VCDS coding was done everything worked perfect and as Piko33 said, it can be done in an afternoon.

Hi Bowders, great guide; I traded in a Mazda 6 for an Octavia and I kept the Bose tyre sub

 

Question (please pardon me if I've missed the obvious), what connections did you use at the HU? you have two wires for each speaker (left and right), did you connect to both of the signal wires or just one pair of speaker wires (i.e. just the right speaker)?
