  1. Hahaha, think everyone takes a break for a while. Site went awfully quiet so I stopped checking in.
  2. Yeah mine used to stay on even when the car was off and keep going till it killed the battery. In the wiring diagrams Skoda show 2 temp sensors. While I think of it does your ambient temp reading (outside temp) inside the car work? That can also trigger the fans
  3. Only test driven a mk3 and it was brand new and on decent roads. But Around here the roads aren’t great so road noise is awful. I use M11 a lot too and you can’t hold a conversation. Other than that I love my yeti just wish Skoda would have put in some soundproofing or even an attempt.
  4. My mk2 was noisy but if you want next level road noise try a yeti. Damn it noisy. Mines getting soundproofing in next week or so
  5. I had a very similar issue with my old mk2. It had new fans new sensors, new ambient temp sensor even a new fuse box and none of these cured it. Best to get a scan done of the vehicle first before randomly changing parts as trust me it gets expensive. Mine turned out to be water in the ecu. Hopefully yours isn’t but you should be able to find my old thread here and there is a lot of useful info in it both from myself and others and well as info I got from spending hours with a Skoda master tech going through wiring diagrams etc
  6. Air bags are fairly generic and used in many different models. Although the part numbers may be the same the connector plugs and the wiring pins/ wire colours may be different and specific to each car so worth inspecting first
  7. Great to see the car finally finished. Shame it was different from the original plan but still crazy enough to standout. Good job guys
  8. Love mine, no issues at all. Have same engine too but in a Yeti, came from a temporary 1.8 Zafira and not really noticed any significant power drop from a 18-1.2. Only thing I would comment on is in D the gearbox is quite quick to get to 7th gear so if I’m using country lanes which I often do I use Sport mode instead which feels much better.
  9. Had a scene very recently that looked like this. Except with a German Shepherd hiding nervously in the corner
  10. Considered one of them and they are nearly £600 delivered. Bought a washable canvas seat protector from hellfrauds and a doggy belt from pets at home and Sadie the German Shepherd who thinks she’s a cute little lapdog sits on the back seats and babysits the kids
  11. That’s not a brisky logo. That’s a beats by Dre logo beats has a solid circle, briskoda has an inner circle
  12. As it sits in this picture is how it fixes to right/driver foglamp. Clips into the existing plastic trim
  13. That curve will go around the front fog. Unsure if it’s top or bottom of the lamp though, maybe a second half still there or lost? Part number shows it’s for the right side part 5b on this pic. So outside of right foglamp trim it clips in around the fog light and the curve would go down the inner side of the foglight
  14. Fantastic work so far. Will be great to see the team whipping ass on the track. Will have to come watch some races not been in years. My cousin was head mechanic for Barry Barnes in b class touring years ago so I used to attend a lot. Will be nice to go again and have someone to cheer on
  15. Should be around the fog light
  16. Sounds painful yeti seems fine now
  17. When the Octy got written off my first choice for replacement was a Passat or another Octy, it was only that the wifey (being disabled) found it difficult getting in and out of the new Octy and Passat (possibly lower than a mk2 Octy?) that we decided on the Yeti. To be honest I was never a big VW fan, was always into fords, parents and grandparents always had skoda’s (pre vw) but they never really appealed to me. Had so much stick as a kid in school that parents drove skoda’s lol, but having been a passenger in a mk2 Octy my cousin went out and bought a VRS, having driven that I went out to buy one too. Skoda have come a long way in recent years however, I think their success may become their own downfall as they try to creep prices up but will soon find themselves pricing themselves out of the market range at which made them successful. I may be wrong but that’s how I see it.
