  1. I too had a sloshing sound coming from behind the passenger seat area. It turns out the NSR door had a considerable amount of water in it. I unclipped the door seal and a considerable amount of water drained from the door drain holes, only after the seal was removed out of the way. The seal was holding back the water in the door bottom and obstructing the drain holes. Worth checking regularly.
  2. This is worth looking at regarding your 4 x 4 oil change, as the dealers purely drain the oil out your Haldex unit and refill, they dont remove the pump and clean everything up as shown here. Worth a look.
  3. Hello, I've got the same vehicle, and use this online parts supplier, they are pretty good, and the site is useful. This is the part that comes up when I search on my chassis number .. https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/8v0598625b-front-rear-wheel-hub-with-bearing-fag-23528.html Hope its useful
  4. Hopefully you’ve had your Haldex fluid changed and all was good. I had access to a ramp so thought I’d do the Haldex Fluid change again. 18 months and only 8000 miles elapsed, but things are looking good this time. The first three pictures are as the pump was removed, last image is after the filter was cleaned off before refitting with new O rings, filler and drain plug plus bolts for pump. The fluid was nice and clean when drained. It is worth doing this job properly and removing the pump when charge fluid. I used VCDS to run the pump motor to finish. No fault codes were present on the AWD module.
  5. Yes, you’re right, it is different in many ways. I was supplied the wrong size rear discs, even though I informed parts supplier it was 4x4, probably worth measuring if possible.
  6. Hi I have a 2014 2.0 TDI 4x4 and it has 272mm on the rear, I found out the hard way! Cheers
  7. Hello, I would definitely get it done, my oil was drained and refilled at Skoda in accordance with service regime when new, but I have removed the pre-charge pump and cleaned myself and it was filthy! See the before and after pictures below. There is some very good info out there on Haldex 5 service / faults etc.. https://www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/generation-5-haldex-fault-finding-repair-guide/ its easier on a ramp to do the job, as the wiring loom loom is held tight to Haldex case and a bit awkward to remove. Good luck and if possible ask the Indy to take before and after photos out of interest.
  8. Hello Did anyone ever drain and refill their manual gearbox? If so what sort of job was it, anything to watch out for, and what oil did you refill with, and how much (quantity). Last of all does it feel okay, hopefully smoother afterwards? Sorry for all the Q’s. Cheers
  9. Thanks for the update. Thanks for the replies. I lease the vehicle at present, and the 4year agreement is coming to an end at the end of March, and I’m hoping to buy it if the price is right. I’m not sure the lease company will swallow this so close to the end, but if it’s due, they should. This will depend on what the dealer says to lease company when they ring up for authorisation?? Anyone had any experience of this type of situation, it’s not a PCP but a lease scheme with maintenance included, through my employer. Anything else a 4 year old Octy 3 would need? Brake fluid and Haldex done last year. cheers.

  11. Hello Apologies if this has already been asked, but i’m Trying to find a definitive answer on when my timing belt etc.. + water pump requires replacement, is it on age or mileage, or whatever comes first? the vehicle is four years old in March 2018, and I’m on 54,000 miles at moment. Thank you.
  12. Hello, I'm new to the forum, and would like to ask if anyone knows when the Haldex unit needs servicing on my 2014 2.0TDI 4x4? What is required, and who would be best do carry out this work Indy or Main dealer? I am just coming up to 45,000miles. Any info appreciated. Thanks
