well you need to check whether your bcm supports xenon or not. it's 50-50 and if not, it's hard to change because of component protection. i was lucky enough to have a factory fitted bcm that supports xenon. check your 09 module with VCDS (long coding) and verify if it's compatible with xenons. if you see something like 'xenon shutter not ssupported by this control module' you need to buy a new one. i also needed to change the can gateway, also component protected, coding was done by an official skoda dealer. you need to have a bcm (or similar): PQ37BOSCH (5Q0-937-086-AK), a 'high' can gateway (or similar): 5Q0-907-530-F, and you will also need a headlight range module (or similar): 7P6-907-357-A. you will also need to install front and back auto leveling sensors, so to be honest it's a very complex project

hi all, i've recently upgraded my halogen headlights to bi-xenons with led drl (octavia mk3 my2016). self-leveling was also installed, but not yet active, because i need a new high can gateway for this function (mid installed by factory, new one will be installed by official skoda dealer). with the fabulous help from aki78 i have the vcds coding for the upgrade (without afs codes). this guide works fine in my car without no major fault code, but of course YOU CAN USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK ONLY. i still have a low priority fault code (540693 - Databus U1121 00 [009] - Missing Message), this is maybe because of the lack of communication between the car and the already installed afs modules. please keep this in mind! here is the coding: 1. why we love scandinavian mode (taken from mikeholroyd's post) Firstly the dashboard and panel lights are not on with DRLs, the dashboard remains totally unlit except for the green dipped beam headlight warning light. As a result of this, if you have a Columbus head unit it will stay in day mode until you physically switch the lights on. Secondly, the headlight wash system is not active (although there is an option elsewhere within the 09 central electronics controller to allow the headlight wash to be active with DRL). Thirdly, there is no effect if you put the indicator stalk into high beam position when on DRLs only (normal headlight flash is unaffected though)

hi, a few weeks ago we sold our pre-fl octavia. this had the scandinavian lightning mode active, with headlights always on. we loved it - and want it back. our new car is fl octavia 2010 elegance, but i can't find the scandinavian mode in vcds. does anybody know: is it possible to activate? if yes, how? i suppose it is possible there's no scandinavian mode for fl octavias because of the dlr foglights, but i never give up hope. any help is highly appreciated! thank you!
