  1. Hello fellow Skoda Octavia MK3 users! I am from India and I own a Skoda Octavia MK3 2.0 TDI DSG. The engine code is CRVC. I have got an itch to retrofit atleast adaptive cruise control with autonomus braking in my car. I have approached some retrofitters in India and their response about the retrofit is far from great. They provide no transparency in what needs to be changed, their quotes vary largely, some say my ABS module has to be changed and some say it can be done without ABS module change. All this has left me utterly confused and I am doubting their knowledge in executing such a retrofit. That is why I turn to you, the community. I am specifically looking for VCDS or OBDeleven scans of your cars if you Octavia has any of the following. Front assist, Front collision warning Adaptive cruise control Lane assist with adaptive cruise control pACC My doubts are specifically regarding Which radar should I opt for, the round Long range radar or the square medium range radar. I confused about the FeC SWAP code part because I have read that Medium range radar require FeC and SWAP codes to activate them and my cars infotainment that MIB2 technisat does not have any option to put FeC or SWAP codes Does my Can bus gateway need to be upgraded? I want to know if I can just get away with just upgrading the firmware of my gateway module which is 1240 or do i upgrade the gateway to gateway high. Does my ABS module needs changing. Nuje from tdiclub and one other guy from drive2.ru say that my ABS module is ok, but one very reputed retrofiter in India says I will have to change ABS module if I require braking and not just rely on engine braking. Link 1 Link 2 By reading your car scans, may be I can figure out some answers so that I can make a more informed decision about choosing a retrofitter for carrying out the job. I am also attaching my car's obdeleven scan so that you can also have a look. Thanks in advance history.txt
  2. For anyone stumbling upon this topic in the future. I have successfully activated Indirect TPMS on my Skoda Octavia 2016 2.0TDI DSG. I did it using OBDeleven. The exact procedure is: 1. Connect to car 2. Navigate to 03-Brakes 3. Click on Long coding 4. Navigate to Byte 27 5. Check Bit4,5,6 6. Navigate to Byte 28 7. Check Bit7. 8. Send the changes 9. Connect to 5F-Multimedia 10. Click on adaptation 11. navigate to Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2 12. Change to activated 13. navigate Car_function_adaptions_gen2 14. Navigate to menu_display_rdk 15. Change to activated 16. Send the changes 17. Connect to 17-Dashboard 18. Long coding 19. Select Byte 04 20. check bit 0-Indirect TPMS 21. Send the coding.
  3. I own a 2016 Skoda octavia 2.0 TDI DSG. I bought the car used. Ever since I have bought the car, it has had the automatic headlight fault. The fault comes up whenever I put the light switch on Auto. The lights turn on even though it is bright and sunny. The wipers keep wiping continuously if I put the wiper stalk on INIT. The OBDeleven scan shows "Rain/Light recognition sensor - No communication" Fault code U10F600, status is static. I have checked the wiring and it was plugged in properly. So I ordered a used module from ebay with part number 5q0955559a, same as already installed in the car. On installing the new used sensor, I get the same fault. So far I have replaced the sensor, checked the wiring if its plugged properly and I have also checked fuse 8 of fuse box but the problem has not been solved. I would like some help on solving the problem. history.txt
  4. A video or an Image would be helpful. Are these side vents part of the sunroof drains? My car does not have a sunroof.
  5. So disconnect battery, disconnect the seat airbag connectors, remove both front seats, remove the floor trims and then remove the carpet?
  6. You mean the pollen filter which is behind the glove box? Yes I did inspect the pollen filter cover. It had 3 tabs and all the 3 tabs were locked. I also put my hand in the cavity with the blower fan and it was dry.
  7. I own a 2016 Skoda Octavia, 2.0 TDI DSG. The car has done about 80K miles or 1.29K Kms. I took my car to a detailer shop on 27.08.2022. As soon as he pulled the floor mats, he noticed that the all carpets were wet. Not a puddle of water, but moist. The detailer was able to get most of the water out by vaccumming. Knowing that the source of the leak could be the coolant, the AC drain or rain water, I decided to not start the AC or a couple of days and observe the carpets which were now damp after the vaccumming. We get pretty great sun in India and the carpets dried out pretty much. It hasn't rained much between 2th and 1st and I only started the AC on the 1st of september and drove around for 30 odd KM. After the drive, I noticed that the carpets were wet. I have eliminated coolant from one of the factors because the coolant level hasn't dropped nor the car has shown signs of overheating. It hasn't rained much in the past few days so I have eliminated rain as well. That pretty much leaves me with AC condensaton. When I start the AC, I can see that the water starts dripping from the bottom of the car, indicating that the drain is indeed functioning. But to be on the safe side, I pulled out the carpet and applied silicone around the spot where the drain goes out of the body. My questions to you knowlegable folks is: 1. Are there any other drains except the one below the centre console? 2. Even if that drain was leaking, is it possible that the passenger which is on the opposite side of the drain gets wet? 3. I am attributing the wet carpets at the backseat to the AC vents below the front seats carrying water which is somehow finding it's way onto the front carpets. Am I correct in making this assumption? 4. Any other things I should be looking at? Thanks!
  8. Hi to all you lovely folks from India! I am a proud owner of a 2016 Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI DSG. The car has done about 80,000 Miles or 1,29,000 Kms and it is only now that I am discovering this forum.
