  1. Good day all, My car: 1.6 Felicia - Funline (was a Dutch variant apparently) The problem is that only on warm days (15-25C) the engine, will occasionally after start up from cold, rev to between 2000-3000 RPM. It will hold this RPM stable for around 30-60 seconds before slowly bringing the revs back to a more normal 800 RPM. The car operates as normal from then. I personally think this is a sensor problem but I don't just want to throw parts at it. with that said: The temperature gauge on dash works as expected and thermostat was changed on a recent coolant refresh last year. The HT leads and sparks plugs also have been changed to meet general servicing and maintenance, along with disturber cap and rotor. I hope this is clear and gives some of you Felicia gurus something to go on. James
  2. Sorry I only came across your thread. I found this https://www.lrp-autorecycling.de/EKAT/ersatzteile/partID1003479121006.html The part number is 6U9827025 Not sure if is what you are after.
  3. Sorry in being slow in getting back. From what I have read the wiring is not difficult. Simply tap into the wiring for the rear lights and wire correctly into the tow bar socket. I see that you can also use a Multiplex relay box so that the extra electrical load of trailer lights does not overload the +20 year old wiring. (I've also noticed that VAG cars don't seem to have much redundancy in the amount of amps that can be drawn through wiring in general....) As for that special dash light I mentions earlier, I think the use of a 4 pin flasher relay causes that to work.(instead of the standard 3 pin) Although i'm not sure how to wire the indicator lights, because if I use the multiplex relay then the car can't 'sense' the extra load on the flasher circuit. As such that all important dash light may not work. I'll have to trial and error to see what works. I have not fitted the tow bar yet but I will update this thread after I have (with advice and maybe even a picture or 2). should be noted I haven't bought the tow bar yet, so who knows how long that will be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  4. Good day all, I am considering installing a tow bar to my Felicia II and was just wondering if anyone has done this before on theirs or other cars? I am aware that the felicia is perhaps not the best towing car, especially as they are all getting on in years, but I'm intending a very small (300kg total) trailer. One feature I'd like to have working correctly is the trailer dash light (between the indicator dash lights), so I'd be grateful if anyone would have tips for installing, wiring and additional relays etc to make is all work.
  5. ***UPDATE*** As I have had a bit more time at home recently and haven't needed to use the car, I decided to troubleshoot the central locking system. I'm glad to say I was able to resolve the problem. The fault was traced to a worn door lock cylinder (on the driver’s door). As it was worn it offered a certain amount of slack into the linkages that control the master lock adjuster unit (097353307A) on that door. This meant that the lock adjuster unit was in ‘transit’ (between the full lock and unlock position). This allowed the adjuster unit to be able to jump between lock/unlock with the vibration of the engine running or driving over a bump in the road or something. This caused all the door locks to lock/unlock, seemingly random. Very annoying The remedy is simple, just swap the door lock cylinder with a replacement unit. In my case I swapped it was the passenger door, as is was less worn due to less usage. I then replaced the driver’s side lock cylinder into the passenger door, but did not connect it to the linkages so as to not encounter the same problem. I hope this was clear and may help someone if they have a random lock/unlock problem with their central locking. James
  6. Yea, to be clear it only locks at random. I then manually unlock it by hand and sometime later it decides to lock again, quite annoying when you're trying to get things done with the doors open. I'll look into this method you mentioned and will probably pull all the door cards off and 'wiggle' about in each door; but this may need to wait until the summertime! I'll update you as how i get on when this happens Thanks for the advice
  7. The original system The car is largely unmodified It's very intermittent, some days it's fine and works 100% and others it locks itself every few minutes. Oddly, it will usually lock itself on engine start and other times the car is under high electrical load. But this is not always the case I have pulled the fuse for the time being, but I did quite like having central locking .
  8. Good day all, I have a 2000 1.6 petrol Felicia. The problem has started with the central locking, in which it will at random lock all the doors. It even does it when the front door are open causing the central locking to stop working all together! Was wondering if anyone has had similar issues with their cars. Is their an easy fix or common earth short I’ve taken the door cards off and had a look. But there is nothing really to see and the door lock solenoids do seem to function as normal. Many thanks
  9. Fantastic!!! Couldn't find it anywhere!! I'm getting new floor mats made and want its Trim spec name 'Funline' embossed.
  10. Hi Everyone, Does anyone know the name of the Font Skoda used for the Felicia in lettering, styling and associated branding?
  11. Hi there, I'm new and this will be my first post. My car is a LHD 1.6 Felicia. (funline from the Netherlands) I have noticed it has started dripping gear oil (noticed when parked) and it appears to be coming from the output shafts of the gearbox. My question is are the seals specific for left and right side of the differential? As I can only find 1 size online and would that fit both sides and i'd wish to replace to two together. Thanks
