anybody added a genuine twin horn not ec9
MarkE95 replied to malcster's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
I've done this to mine, you will need an extra plug to fit the new horn, and you will also need to extend the wiring from the original loom to connect the additional horn. I bought 2 new plugs and crimped both the original wire and the extra section into each of the terminals to make a neater joint, but you could just as easily cut the wire a few inches from the plug and then add your extra wire from there. This is the plug you will need. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171210281239?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT -
Fabia mk2 Monte Carlo grill 2013 plate
MarkE95 replied to billypharoah's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
There is a honeycomb grille for the facelift Mk2 Fabia and it comes with instructions on how to remove the old grille (link below). I would recommend getting a plastic trim removal tool as it makes removing the grille much easier, without the risk of damaging anything. http://milotec.de/index.php?cat=c301_Sports-grille---Front-spoiler.html&XTCsid=998395838e28be0acaf7984aff6f0d11 -

As above, thanks to Jason for organising everything. Had a great time, and the Briskoda only sessions were a brilliant idea. -
Mk2 Fabia vRS handling upgrades
MarkE95 replied to MillsyVRS's topic in Performance & Tuning Upgrades
I can recommend upgrading the lower engine mount (dogbone) bush. I've tried 3 of the different options to get it perfect for me, with the following results. Vibratechnics: Best engine location, easiest to fit, best improvement in feel during acceleration. FAR too much vibration for daily use. Powerflex (Diesel): Improved engine location, not bad to fit, slight improvement in feel during acceleration, no increase in vibration from OEM. Powerflex (Petrol): Improved engine location, just as easy to fit as the diesel bush, noticeable improvement in feel during acceleration, no noticeable increase in vibration from OEM. These were all fitted to my Monte Carlo 1.2 TSI. -

Don't suppose you've got a part number for the pipe and the trumpet? Fancy doing this to mine. -

I've had vehicles at work (HGV mechanic) where the headlamp bulb has 'lost its pattern', giving an incorrect beam image on the headlamp tester. Might be worth just changing the headlamp bulbs and seeing how you get on. The headlamp beam alignment may have to be adjusted once the bulbs have been changed, which the MOT tester/mechanic may do for you as part of the MOT

Had the standard Dunlop SportMaxx tyres fitted to mine when I bought it and I have to say I wasnt really impressed with the grip or the 'feel' on the road, along with the usual pulling to the left. Changed the wheels and fitted Continental SportContact5s, which I was much more impressed with, better grip, more 'feel' and no more pulling. Recently changed back to the original wheels and tyres while the new wheels were being refurbished, couldnt believe the difference between the Dunlops and the Continentals, especially the lack of grip having had a remap since the Dunlops were last fitted. So, I would definitely recommend Continental SportContact5s on the Monte Carlo

Hi James, The front and rear door speakers are both 6.5" / 17cm. I fitted 44mm deep speakers with no problems but there was space to have slighter deeper ones so I would think anything around 50-60mm would be fine.

But did you find the white cans of Monster? That's the important question
