  1. As mentioned above there’s no hard and fast timeframe but from my car arriving at Emden to me taking delivery took three weeks. It was a 23 MY Karoq if that makes a difference, ordered November ‘22 and delivered March ‘23 (exactly a year ago yesterday).
  2. I can confirm this has happened to me also, (23 MY 1.5 TSI Manual) it’s not often and not something I can replicate to demonstrate to the dealer which is why I haven’t bothered taking it back, yet… As soon as I start the car I switch off the stop/start function as that drives me mad. It happened yesterday when exited the motorway, came to a gradual stop at the traffic lights on the slip road, clutch depressed before coming to a complete stop but it still fizzled out once stopped. I’ve also found myself (almost subconsciously) giving the throttle a little blip before pulling away from stationary to avoid the kangaroo effect, so it would seem this latest iteration of the engine still suffers from some degree from the well documented kangaroo issue.
  3. My 23 MY SportLine has an umbrella, it’s in a compartment on the front of the passenger seat 🤔
  4. I completely agree, I always found changing the wheels on my Defender or Disco much easier thanks to the hub bolts
  5. I was hoping to never have to use this but an unlit Shropshire country lane had other ideas… On the way home last night and clipped a huge (even by Shropshire Council standards) pothole, instant and rapid deflation followed on an unlit road, luckily I managed to find a bit of a pull-in 50 yards down the road. I’d highly recommend investing a fiver in a wheel alignment pin as there’s not much of a prominence on the hub to get the alloy on to, this was compounded by trying mount the wheel by torchlight at the side of the road.
  6. Welcome I ditched the aero trims on my Karoq SportLine as they looked awful and will damage the lacquer over time, the part number for the centre caps and wheel bolt covers can be found in this thread…👍
  7. Except for certain types of surfaces, concrete motorways being one, I can’t say I notice much cabin noise. I’m running the standard, factory fitted 19” rims with Bridgestone on a ‘23 SportLine. Particularly rough tarmac can sometimes cause a droning sound but it’s usually temporary. Daft question but are the tyre pressures correct? Dealers will often over inflate tyres on cars stood on forecourts etc. Thats not good news, have you been following prices of the Karoq, thought they were holding their own?
  8. That’s what I’ve always done too, I’m planning on getting the wheels off if it ever stops raining so I’m going to go with that, I never had any issues in the past and I regularly check wheel bolt torque anyway.
  9. That’s not good in such a short space of time. Is there anything that can be applied to prevent this? It always used to be copper grease in the past but this doesn’t seem to be recommended any longer.
  10. Lovely day for a drive in a filthy car 😆
  11. Amundsen+ will give you the larger VC but won’t change the size of the central infotainment screen, to get the larger central screen you’d need to go for the Columbus Package which at around £1400 seems ludicrous price differential for an extra inch of screen.
  12. 23MY SportsLine owner here and can confirm that ‘as standard’ you’ll get the smaller of the two virtual cockpit options, you’ll only get the larger 10.25” version if you go for the Amundsen+ pack. To be honest having now experienced both versions I like my version (slightly blurry photo attached), I found that once you get over the novelty of changing the layout of the VC you tend to stick with one version. Having tried putting maps in the VC I found it far too busy and cramped to be of any real use. All I need is speedo, temp and fuel level, much more than that is a distraction. The layout shown below is what I tend to stick with speedo/rev counter in the centre, how often do we really need to look at the rev counter? Obviously Škoda like changing spec without telling anyone so ymmv 😆
  13. I like the SportLine version the most from what I’ve seen of it so far, not keen on that contrasting panel on the D pillar of the other models, looks a bit too Peugeot 3008. I’m expecting it to be north of £40k though which will be a dealbreaker for a lot of folk given the crazy tax it’ll attract.
  14. Only on the main body panels, never directly at the mirrors. I can’t remember the last time I used a sponge on a car, I went microfibre ’noodle’ pads a long time ago, value the paintwork too much to go back to sponges.
