  1. Has never used a drop of oil, still have the spare bottle given when bought new!
  2. Sad times, i have tried to put this off and hoped that maybe my new job would give me cash bonus for using our own car but unfortunately i am being forced to use a lovely new Audi as all employees must drive company A3s (i am a estate agent, long story) and we cannot physically own a 3rd car so she has to go :'( 'We' bought her new in January of last year, she hasn't really been used all that much other than the weekly Tesco shop and visiting family in Sussex, occasionally used to commute to work in colder weather so hence the low mileage. In all honesty it rarely goes above 30mph and 2000rpm, my girlfriend gets high 40s mpg out of it regularly!. Specs: 2013 - 62 plate Female owned.... yes really its actually my girlfriends car 0 previous owners 12000 miles will increase slightly Candy white White wheels Factory armrest Climate control Headlight washers (important for MOT with HID's, makes car 100% legal) Has had the DSG recall done Remainder of factory warranty (1 and a half years) Remainder of free servicing (2 services still left) Extras (tasteful 'no brainer' everyone should do them mods!): Custom 2.5'' cat back exhaust (not loud at all) 4300k HID's VCDS setup to work with them LED rear lights (sometimes causes a light error) Carbon paddle extensions Condition: Interior is mint and still smells like a new car, rear seats almost never been used!. Small scuff on rear right bumper, touched up with stone chip paint and will probably polish out but never really bothered, appeared while parked on the street i can only assume it was a parking accident and the lovely person just left without leaving a note, happened in the first month of ownership!.Was quoted £150 to repaint like new but again its so minor i just left it, Light stone chip on bonnet and front bumper light scuffs on alloys but not down to the metal so barely noticeable Not much else to say, costs buttons to insure, gets 45mpg+ all day long, takes off like a scalded cat. There is still finance owed but this will be cleared on the spot when purchased. £10,500.......... in all honesty this is a lot of car for the money so take it quickly before my girlfriend has a change of heart, she really loves 'furby' (0) 7738 660297
  3. just to put you at ease, mine has almost 12k on the clock and has not used a single drop of oil, also had a tuning box for the past 4k and again not a drop and never missed a beat. It is a 2013 model with the revised engine. I am sure some have been unlucky, just try to find a good one... funnily enough mine will be up for sale shortly as company car is incoming and i cant have a 3rd car due to parking restrictions where i live.
  4. I have a later engine and quite frankly my car is nothing short of mental. But the chassis and brakes barely cope... something to bear in mind.
  5. I have a very late 62 plate which has the CTHE. 11,000 miles and not a drop of oil used.
  6. driving through central london sedately in stop start traffic netted me 37mpg over 8 miles. the drive back in much heavier traffic got me 28mpg........ impressive.
  7. its a little gem that 1.2tsi, love the way the little turbo kicks in at under 2000rpm, like a little bang. Must be very rapid in the fabia, i had mine mapped in a Yeti and it was hilarious fun.
  8. Was wondering that myself, i drove a gti cabriolet and it was punchy but not as sharp as the fabia... anyway side tracking here,
  9. haha yes it is, i lost password/login so started a new one. I completely forgot about the scirocco i test drove. Just so you know the GTI peed all over everything stock, amazing engine the EA888.... miss that car, might buy another.
  10. In Taiwan as that is where i was living at the time.
  11. I had my Yeti remapped with the 1.2tsi engine. It just so happens i drove a octavia mk2 estate 1.8tsi back to back, as i was lent this car while they fiddled with my Yeti. This was back in 2009 or 2010 when the car first came out, they had to crack the ecu as port flashing wasnt working back then. Anyway, the Yeti felt faster than the standard octavia 1.8tsi after the remap, it had a real thump of torque when the turbo kicked in at low rpm, was awesome fun!. Estimate 150bhp after the remap, the octavia had more top end pull but the 1.2tsi had way more grunt. Both had DSG7 gearboxes btw, so was a fair comparison. So yes i recommend getting it done, i did about 20,000miles in grueling south east asia heat, traffic jams, carrying heavy loads in the back... i really abused the hell out of the car and it performed faultlessly.
  12. No its not slipping as if i manually change gear it holds fine. just sluggish making its mind up when in D, seems to have gotten worse since the update :s Miss the 6 speed DSG, perfect gearbox.
