  1. Two keys, neither of them would make it start
  2. The dealer called and apparently the issue is with the immobiliser in the key. They’ve said it needs reprogramming. Not sure whether that’ll definitely solve the issue, but I’ve rejected the car and will be collecting the Golf to come home and will look for another one, maybe after our wedding next year. To be fair to the dealer, they offered to have it sorted and deliver the car to us at home next week, but with them being 170 miles away, if anything else was to go wrong, there’s no easy way to get it dealt with. Anyone selling a Meteor Grey Kamiq Monte Carlo 1.5 petrol manual with a heated seats/steering wheel and climate control?
  3. Absolutely. That was the first thing the dealer asked and having seen numerous people mis fuel cars, I appreciate it’s easily done!
  4. I filled it, unless Esso had diesel in their petrol tank, which smelt like petrol, no mis-fuelling occurred 😉 It was, I love the smell of petrol!
  5. Yes, we moved house and her commute is now 3 miles instead of about 15 miles before, which wont do the diesel any good, as she doesn’t do many long journeys
  6. The Mrs has just bought a ‘21 Kamiq 1.5, drove it away fine from the garage, filled with petrol and drove to see some family on the way back. When I went to start it to go out for dinner, it turned over and briefly started, but then cut out. I tried again, but it wouldn’t turn over when turning the key in the ignition. I tried locking and unlocking and starting again, once or twice it’d turn over and die, one time I was able to get it to run briefly, but again it cut out. Didn’t have any warning lights on the dash when driving it prior to this (same day). The dash isn’t dimming significantly as I’d expect if the car battery was knackered and no errors on the dash. The annoying thing is she’s just bought it and only done 50 miles in it. The garage are having it recovered so it can be looked at. Wondering if it’s worth waiting to see what’s wrong with it or just reject it and get my money back. She’d Px’d a Golf GTD that was working fine to buy this and she’s stressed!
