The Mrs has just bought a ‘21 Kamiq 1.5, drove it away fine from the garage, filled with petrol and drove to see some family on the way back. When I went to start it to go out for dinner, it turned over and briefly started, but then cut out. I tried again, but it wouldn’t turn over when turning the key in the ignition. I tried locking and unlocking and starting again, once or twice it’d turn over and die, one time I was able to get it to run briefly, but again it cut out. Didn’t have any warning lights on the dash when driving it prior to this (same day). The dash isn’t dimming significantly as I’d expect if the car battery was knackered and no errors on the dash. The annoying thing is she’s just bought it and only done 50 miles in it. The garage are having it recovered so it can be looked at. Wondering if it’s worth waiting to see what’s wrong with it or just reject it and get my money back. She’d Px’d a Golf GTD that was working fine to buy this and she’s stressed!
