During the hot weather the gas struts on my boot have got really stiff. Not had this issue on a car before Has anyone else had this issue. Should I be asking for new struts under warranty.

There are lots of threads on here talking about software updates. Most of which seem to be return to dealer. With a service due in 2 months I don't plan to take it in before this. However is there a website where I can check what updates are available for my car that should get done when it goes in.

Already have the camera positioned and did decide to drill. I have it above the numberplate just to the left of the boot release and drilled begin the numberplate. Drilled through and used a rubber grommet and sealent to make it water tight.

Just purchased a mirror dash cam which supports reversing guide lines and rear view when the red wire is connected to the reversing lights. Camera works great and would like to connect up the reversing function. Any ideas how to access the rear of the light cluster or any where else I can get access to the reversing signal. No obvious access panel but guess with LED lights they don't expect you to need access.

All looked good to start with but now seeing a couple of issues. 1) When I get a call and answer it I can't hear the caller but they can hear me. 2) I have no data connection. When car connects to Wifi then I loose mobile data as well. Not sure if these are car or phone related. Can anybody confirm if this is the same for them and state what phone they are using. Mine is Huawei P20 Pro

Thank for the help. Tried again tonight and it's as you describe. Speed setting seems to change the sensitivity to amount of rain.

Thought I tried this but it just seemed to be the normal intermittent wipe. Does the position of the intermittent speed lever matter? Am I expecting the wipe frequency to change depending on how heavy the rain is. Will try again next time it rains.

I have now had my SE 1.5 for three days. This morning it raining but nothing from the wipers. They are set to wipe when rain is detected in the settings. Is there an auto position as I can't find anything in the manual just says to set it in the settings.

No Android 10 running on a Huawei P20 pro with all the latest updates.

Picked up new SE model last night. Set up android auto using usb. When I got in the car this morning my suprise when it offered me android auto phone still in my pocket. Wireless working no issues.

Very slightly off topic but can anyone confirm if the USB port in the mirror is a permanent live or does it go off when the ignition is off.

Just picked up new FL Octavia and using android auto. I use touque to read data from the car and now using an app called OBD2AA I can display these on the dash. OBD2AA also supports reading the pressures from the TPMS but you need to provide the PID code to read the right data. Does anyone know what these codes are there should be one for each wheel. Any other PID unique to Skoda would also be interesting.

I was thinking I could take it up through the edge of the number plate light. Just cut a slot in it. I am not one for drilling a new car but the lense could be easily replaced if I make a mess of it or remove it later. But any suggestions welcome.

I know this topic has come up before but I did search and couldn't find the answer to my questions. I have a dash cam mirror with rear camera that is attached to the back of my caravan. I am about to take delivery of a new Octavia and thought I might take the opertunity to add a 2nd rear camera on the car to use when not towing and backing up to hitch the caravan. Has anyone fitted one of these numberplate cameras https://www.amazon.co.uk/Number-Plate-Reversing-Camera-vision/dp/B00EVUX2F0 I know there are better options but the adjustable angle of the camera would be good for hitching. My other question is to fit this I would need to remove the tailgate trim. (Hatch version) Are there any good instructions any where for removing this trim

This link does not work but searching for Weser highway shows it as in Grimsby. As my car was on the way to Dresden on Monday I doubt it made this ship. Is there another ship on the same route or will this one return for the next collection.

Makes me glad I made the decision to go with race blue My dealer rang today to say my car was built a heading to Dresdon for shipping. Can anyone help to work out what ship it will likely be on?

Got a call today from my dealer to say my car was locked in to build week 36. Even after changing the colour that's still only 6/7 weeks from order to build Still think end of September will be tight but looking close. My sympathy goes out to those still waiting. I can't understand Skoda's order priority. I had convinced myself of a late November delivery. Can anyone tell me where you are tracking the ships?

After starting this thread and watching the mix of stories go by I have been given a build week of 37. Have just changed colour to Race blue today so hope this doesn't affect the date. Not yet holding my breath.
