Maxi Dot display as suddenly stopped displaying anything, the screen seems illuminated but nothing shown.

Any ideas? Car is 2006 VRS

Make sure aircon is working, very common for compressor to fail around £500 to replace

They chrged me £40 but they'd already had £490 off me for new compressor

Had the car back in yesterday, new pressure switch fitted, the fans now run alot quieter and the aircon is even colder. Fingers crossed

Not sure if the images will upload but here's my efforts thus far. Had the car nearly 2 years, did have a progress thread a while ago, bought it as a none runner, since then its revo 1, coilovers, 16mm forge rear spacers, OEM zeniths in gloss black, dunlops.

Gonna take it back to the aircon guy first in case he's messed something up, maybe try a new pressure sensor??

Im not sure it just sounds like its going to take of with both fans going max constantly with aircon on.

Thought i'd start a new thread regarding this issue.

 

I've recently had a new aircon compressor fitted due to a seized pump, aircon now works fine.

 

But...

When switching the aircon to auto both fans fire up at max speed, and then when turning aircon off using econ button both fans stop.

 

Engine temp is fine, no problems with that.

Got mine sorted at the weekend, compressor was seized solid. New compressor and the system flushed, then re gassed cost me £490. Nice and cool now.

 

One thing ive noticed is the fans seem to be running more now, is this normal??

Yeh don't want to be releasing the gas into the atmosphere, I'll speak to the aircon specialist 2moro. Thanks. Only had car 8 weeks and this happened, German efficiency eh!

The Sanden pumps are £218 at eurocarparts, is it easy enough to swap? Then get it re gassed??

Also after abit of research I've checked the pulley on the compressor, when the pulley spins the centre bolt is still stationary, surely this should spin with the pulley??

Yes, they said its fine and gas is full. They seem to think pump isn't kicking in??
