  1. Maybe somebody can help me out slighty.

I have recently replaced my power steering pump due to my mot comming up.

Having replaced the pump everything works fine.

The other day while finnishing off some anti-roll bar drop links (lowlifeproblems) i had a mate come to clear the fault code on my dashboard.

We were unable to clear the code as the computer couldnt communicate with my power steering pump.

I tried to see if the garage would turn a blind eye since my power steering still worked but he wasn't having any of it.

driving it back from the test centre i felt that the power steering still worked but was much heavier (better in my eyes i actually felt the road as opposed to how silly light it is standard)

Does anyone have any ideas of what may be the problem as my car has now run out of mot and this light is the only thing forcing a failure which is really annoying.

Otherwise who knows how to remove lights from a fabia vrs dashboard... LOL.

    Many Thanks

    Jack

  2. Recently brought a fabia mk1 vrs tdi. Paid low money for what it has equipt with due to a couple of problems. One which is now fixed was having to replace the power steering pump. The secound being the front windows (both electric) do not work.

Having checked all the wires and fuses and a good look through with a multi meter i narrowed the problem down to the circuit board within the motor.

i have a 6y2 959 802 motor which are like hens teeth to find. Can anyone recomend a solution either somewhere i can get the circuit board or a motor that will work in place of the one i currently have whether it be a different code ect.

    Many thanks in Advance.

  3. Not sure on the code for window it is..

And believe the engine code is asz.

Will double check tonight after work.

ok mate well im after 6y2 959 802 for the drivers door and potentially take the passengers if the price is right.
