Hi,
Looking for a little help, had the misfortune of a flat last week so had to put the spare tyre on.
I managed to lose one of the little plastic bolt caps either while I was changing the flat, or while the garage was replacing the tyre so I need a replacement.
Any body know the part code or where I can get a cheap replacement.
Thanks

Made some progress today - I now have a wifi ELM widget that works and supports settings customisation.
I have successfully enabled:
Unlock entire car with single key fob press
Teardrop wiper feature
(i had already changed the rapid fire indicators to 5 flashes using VCDS, but could have done that too)
However, the current app version for the iPhone is not offering me any option to fiddle with dial staging. :(
Chris do you have a link to which ELM widget you purchased?

Just noticed the SUK configurator now includes "Package Xenon for Style package (right-hand drive)" as a £400 extra. Thought you all might like to know.

Looks good, can't wait for mine now.

You can order it as an accessory from Skodadop, it's a Czech website I think. I have seen them mentioned on a couple over threads in the forum.
Works out at about £135 I think with postage, which doesn't seem to bad.

Duplicated - please ignore

I thought that too at first, but the tapering is more pronounced on the outside of the fascia than the headunit itself. I'm not 100% sure but pretty hopeful it's the right part. It cost a 11 euros second hand so if it doesn't fit I'll survive
The unit looks almost square when seated in the dash, but seen alone it's more obviously tapered.
mu7 when you get the trim can you update us all?
Good luck Mu7. I gave the part number 5JA858415 to my local Skoda who didn't have one in stock, but would get one for Tuesday. Similar price. I'll wait to see what its like - i have a worry that there might be a couple of big round holes in it for the radio nobs, not like the picture from mighty murph. But like you say, its only a couple of quid, so not the end of the world. Its the Columbus i think i'll get, but i'll just hang fire with the order until Tuesday
Dubdee1000, let me know how the one you have ordered goes to.
Thanks

Been reading through this thread over the past couple of days, as well as the Yeti thread. I have to say this looks great, can't wait for it to be finished.

Hi All,
Thought I should introduce myself as I'm new to the forum.
Ordered my first Skoda last week, gone for a Rapid Sport and am looking forward to delivery at the start of September.
1.0 TSI Throttle Body Issue
in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Posted
So after 18 months and 8.5k miles my Octavia has had its first issue.
On heading home after a weekend away with the family, I was confronted with a Stop/Start error message followed by the EPC light and a loss of power. The car would still tick over but was very lumpy so a quick call to Skoda Assist and an hours wait for the AA followed.
The AA bloke arrived and diagnosed the issue before even opening the bonnet, a common issue with this engine apparently is a failure within the throttle body he says, which after a quick scan with his diagnostics kit confirmed the only error code showing relating to the throttle
body. So a tow to my local stearlers for repair followed, that was Sunday afternoon and I'm still waiting to hear from them to confirm the problem and tell me when it will be fixed. 🙄
Is this an issue anybody else has come across either in an Octavia or another VAG car with the 1.0 TSI?
At least Skoda Assist have arranged an hire car for me, even if it did take Enterprise all of Monday to source a VAG car to deliver to me.
