Hello,

Are all the fabia rear brake calipers the same? I've heard the only difference between the VRS ones and the normal fabias is the green paint.

Would this one fit my 56 reg VRS?

Hello, do you still have the plug for the drivers side rear ABS sensor? Not the sensor it's self just the plug with 5 or 6 inches of cable?

Hello,

My VRS has had no heating for a while now, it's not been a problem over the summer but now I need to sort it. The blower works fine on all four different speeds however there is no hot air coming out. I'd like to get at the heater matrix and give it flush out as its been in there for 10 years and 160,000 miles and is probably full of crap. How do you access the matrix?

Any help would be much appreciated as it's freezing in here!

I doubt very much that it's because of the clips.

Does it flare out at the wheel arch and not push in??

hello,

Wondering if someone can help me out, basically after changing my intercooler my front bumper doesn't sit flush on the wings anymore. I understand from another thread that I need to replace the clips that's the bumper clips into at the wings. I'm having trouble finding these clips though, I have a 2006 56 fabia VRS BLT. If someone could point me in the right direction I'd soooo grateful

Thanks for your replies, yeah i'm definitely going to demand a warranty on it but I need to get the car back on the road ASAP and was wondering what intercooler you boys would recommend?

Looking for a bit of help here, basically about three months ago my turbo died so I had it reconditioned and bought a new Intercooler, this one http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Fabia_1.9_2007/p/car-parts/car-cooling-parts-and-car-heating/cooling/intercooler/?229440380&1&e08e61eac20e184d41bf02a49cdbb4454d01f5d6&000207. Now that new Intercooler has cracked, after only three months, and needs replaced. Any recommendations on what to get? Just looking for a SMIC, I can't find a part number for a OEM part and I don't think dark side developments do one for the fabia VRS that isn't a FMIC. Should I just get another one of the above and hope for better luck this time?

Replacement forge pipe as recommended above arrived from DPM and I fitted it yesterday, old pipe was ruined as there was a big split in it. Turned of the fault code and the eml went off, still no power though and still going into limp mode. EML light came back on after 20 miles. Any other suggestions to try until I have time to take a trip down and visit Silky?

Turbo was reconditioned three months ago so I doubt it would be sticking vanes due to carbon deposits, any thoughts?

Thanks very much for all your help everyone, i've also discovered a large boost leak, the pipe that comes directly from the turbo has split. My local garage quoted me £120 plus VAT for the pipe, anybody got any recomendations on what to replace it with or should i just get the garage to order it in for me?

Mine died after 113,000. Had a loud police siren noise for few thousand miles before that. Just went bang when I booted it out of a junction, lots of smoke, car when into limp and basically wouldn't run.

The car has been significantly more smokey since the recon turbo was installed. There is a possibility that I have both an incorrectly set up turbo and a boost leak.

Just need to track down someone with a VCDS Lite as I don't have access to one.

Does anyone know of anywhere that I would be able to go to have my turbo checked and get a remap? A remap and EGR delete have been on the cards for a while now.

Hello,

At the end of October my turbo died on my 56 fabia VRS, I had the turbo reconditioned by GAP Turbos and bought a brand new standard intercooler, all the pipework was thoroughly cleaned and the new parts installed my local trusted garage. At the same time I had the cambelt and water pump done and a service. Since I got the car back the reconditioned turbo is considerably louder when accelerating, there is an very loud "tssshhhhhhhhh" noise when boosting. The MPG has also dropped by about 10% and the car doesn't seem to pull quite as well as it used to, it's not as happy to sit in 6th gear and cruise at 60mph as it used to be.

Then yesterday when i was driving along, doing about 3000rpm in forth gear the "tssshhhhh" noise disappeared and it was obvious the turbo wasnt doing anything but the car was still driving no problem, i pulled in, stopped and restarted the car and the turbo was back boosting again.

Any idea what the problem could be here?

Does anyone know if the car would start if the turbo was blown? There was no noise or black smoke when it lost power.

Unfortunately my trusted independant closed down last month leaving the VW garage as the only other one i'd trust however they are also closing down next month!

Hello,

Earlier this morning i pulled out of a junction, up through the gears until in forth gear at about 2500rpm the car went into a sort of limp hope mode, no power and engine management light came on. Coasted car into a layby and was collected by a recovery service. Car will turn over but not start, recovery man plugged in his diagnostics machine and couldn't find any fault codes. Now sitting outside my local VW dealer waiting for me to give them a call on monday.

56 Reg Fabia VRS 1.9tdi with 112000 miles on the clock.

Any suggests as to what this could be would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

Sorry if this has been covered before, did a quick search but im a newbie round here.

I've got a 56 reg vrs with four blank switches on the dash, was wondering if any one had any suggestions on what to fit in their place to smarten the interior up a bit, looks a wee bit poverty in here at the moment. If anyone has any pictures that would be fantastic.
