  1. So a lot of questions for JP above, here's the next one who is your dealer?

Hi Pbomb/Saurabhdutt,  they didn't charge me extra, I expressed concern about it as I ordered without seeing it in the flesh, so they said if I didn't like them then I could choose any wheels they had (18" or below) so when they got a black edition in (not mine) I went to look at it and I didn't like them. They are anthracite (black silver) which look lovely. And my dealership is Bury St Edmunds.

27 mins and counting ...eek ..like a kid waiting for christmas!!

  2. I am picking up my black black edition at 12pm tomorrow. I will try and get pics on asap. My dealer has swapped the wheels for me as the black turini wheels on the black version just didn't do it for me, I don't think they suited the look of the car, not like the white version, where the contrast works really well. I will have18" vrs gemini's on  mine. V. excited.

  3.

Thanks mate. I think White looks better too. It gives that little edge of the contrast. Which one did you go for?

I ordered on the 15th too however it was already on the boat to the UK and the car was untagged, so the dealer tagged it for me. It was at lorry awaiting status on monday, loaded on lorry on tuesday and landed at the dealer's on wednesday.

    Hope it helps.

Sorry messed up trying to post from my phone.  I have gone for the black one, I have just found out mine is still waiting at dock in Germany -  gutted. I need it to go on holiday on the 7th August, that is looking unlikely at this rate!  They tagged it for me on the 15th so I don't know why it hasn't got onto a boat yet.

  4. Thanks mate. I think White looks better too. It gives that little edge of the contrast. Which one did you go for?

Looks lovely mate, better than the black I think. Out of interest when did you order it ? I presume you took these photos at your dealership ? I ordered mine on the 15th July it was at status 36 which meant sat at port in Germany. I was told it was on the ship on Tuesday, so just wondered how long you had to wait between ordering and getting it here?

  6. Mate, I couldnt even sleep after discovering that it might not have the armrest. No, this is not my car, mine is the white one.

I started calling dealers all over England to as if it has the armrest and one dealer said we do have it in stock and has just landed yesterday. I rushed there to have a first hand glimpse. I test rode it for 20 odd miles. It was a 1.6 TDI and the ride was very comfortable and the car looks sweet. It has that aggressive look and feel to it.

The dealer I went to was Skoda Dratford

You are going to love the car. Way better looking than the standard SE

Excellent, you have really cheered me up. I chased Bury St Edmunds today and mine is released to ship...fingers crossed the sea's are calm !! I think yours will look the business in white, especially with the contrast of the wheels. Did it have anything else on it we weren't expecting?

  7. Okay friends finally I did manage to see the Octavia Estate Black edition. Trust me, that is a brilliant looking car. Dont have words to explain how it looks. People are going to hate me for saying this but yes it does look like VRS's younger brother. I am going to put sone pictures for you guys. Hope you like it.... Guys, if you are thinking of buying the Black edition then pls pls go for it as its only limited in numbers....

Brilliant, I am so excited now after seeing you pics, sorry for sounding like a 5 yr old. I have been preparing myself for disappointment.  Is this your car? If not where did you get to see it. Thanks for sharing the photos.

  8. Mines being fitted by dealer before delivery and I've been quoted

    Fixed twin - £358

Thanks Fluffy that is really useful. Which dealer are you using, it would be good to know when I am haggling with Bury St Edmunds. Cheers

  9. One thing is getting rewlly messy here. I have been informed (on an email) that the car is a 2015 model and comes with the arm rest. Skoda CC UK says it has the arm rest as it is based on the latest SE however the Tour De France doenst have the centre arm rest. Did you manage to get any information about it from your dealer?

Hi Saurahdutt,  I have been assured by the dealer it has the armrest and also by SCC UK. If it hasn't then it is going to be very awkward in the dealership because I probably won't be driving it away. When I spoke SCC UK, they said it was so new they were only notified at the end of Jun. I am guessing then that the TDF were built and released earlier to coincide with the TDF build up.  I have to say the product information and lack of photos is pretty poor. Sorry I can't be of more help.

  10. Thanks wiggo it just that I have ordered a brand new car for the first time and the dealer kept saying whoever fits it would have to warranty the electrics... It sounded like a 'if you have a problems with the car it won't be down to us to sort out' ... kind of comment. i am just wary oh yes and it is on a pcp so doubly wary

  11. Well done chaps! Fair play for taking the plunge without seeing the car in the flesh. Did you go for white or black exterior colour?

I went for black, as shrop_paul suggests the black edition in white seems a little of an oxymoron. Fingers crossed.

I am part of your gang now. I have gone for 1.6 estate black edition. Just loved the look of the car. This car is bit of a mistery at the moment. My dealer has told me that the car will be arriving at the end of the month. Will post some pictures once I get my hands on it.

good to have someone else to moan to when we find out we have been jooped! Looking forward to it now,

  12. Well I have gone for it my 2.0 black edition octavia estate is arriving at the end of the month. I rang SUK and Matt there was very helpful, but said even they had only just been told about the black edition at the end of Jun, so very new.  What swung for me was the dealer said if I hated the wheels when it turned up I could swap them for any that I wanted FOC.  I can't say fairer than that, oh yeah and I got some free roof bars ;-)  (so easily pleased) when I get it I will try and post some photos if anyone is interested.

  13. I was about to order a Black Edition estate, but it doesn't seem to make ecomonic sense. I was told it included the following add on supposedly worth £3055  which are listed below, but when I add price them from the optional extras in the brochure they only come to £1930.00. I am beginning to feel the dealer is trying to flog my something noone wants.  I am trying to work whether just go for a SE and add on the paint, sat nav and sunset glass, as I can't  say I am that fussed about the black wheels etc. The latest brochure online say armrests are standard as Preston_Motors said above. Didn't help the dealer gave me a January 14 brochure on Friday. This is my first skoda -  not finding buying one easy! Any assistance welcome!

    • 18-inch Turini black alloy wheels

    • Metallic paint
    • Amundsen sat nav with DAB
    • Cruise control
    • Sport pack - includes front and rear spoilers in body colour, rear boot spoiler in body colour, decorative side mouldings in body colour
    • Sunset glass

  14. They are cheap compared to the Elegance spec I am looking at Moley but who can do without a centre armrest and sports suspension!!!! The sales bod didn't really try and sell it to me saying they would probably be gone by the time I get to order. Worth a look with Eibach's if ever factory approved.

Hi there, I have been told by Bury St Edmunds they do come with centre armrest, is there anyway of confirming this, as the skoda website doesn't list the spec anywhere? Cheers
